Ramos Takadanobaba. I had been to the Ramos in Otsuka so i had high expectations going in, and was actually blown away by the difference in options and flavor. A mix of thai curries and mexican rice bowls is the kind of vibe i got. It’s pretty difficult to find ethnic foods with authentic flavors (especially spicy) in japan so i was surprised by how delicious it was. The ethnic taco rice and pho are both fabulous, the prices are reasonable, and the beer is crisp and tasty. I recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Tokyo, but recommend it even more for people living in japan. Why? The man behind the counter. Ryo is a chef/skater and one of the nicest dudes I’ve ever met. I find that customer service is always very good in japan, but nobody is as friendly as Ryo. Some restaurants in japan are difficult to enter alone, but Ramos is actually very welcoming and a nice place to just hang out. Strongly recommended to anybody just looking to get away from the hustle and bustle from the big city, or even someone looking to party locally. Whether it’s food you’re looking for, or friends you’re looking to make, Ramos Takadanobaba is your next destination.
P.S. Thanks again for everything Ryo-san!...
Read moreAbsolutely have to shout out to my homie’s incredible taco spot in Takadanobaba—it's hands down the best place for tacos and taco rice in Tokyo!
I first stumbled upon this gem about 9 months ago, and now we are proud regulars. Every dish is bursting with flavor, and the vibe of the place is unmatched. It’s a cozy, unpretentious spot where you can watch the magic happen as my friend runs his one-man show behind the counter, crafting each taco with the kind of passion and precision that only someone who truly loves what they do can deliver.
Whether you’re craving the classic tacos or the unique taco rice, every bite here is a testament to his dedication and talent. This isn't just a meal; it’s an experience that warms your heart and fills your soul.
If you’re in Tokyo and looking for some authentic, mouth-watering tacos, you’ve got to check this place out. You won’t be disappointed!

Read moreI've had the pleasure of visiting Ramos 3 times this year. Each time I land in Tokyo, I find myself mysteriously drawn to this beautiful place where the food is amazing and the atmosphere impeccable.
Ryo is an amazing host and you're in for a treat when you decide to step through the doors. I highly recommend their Coconut Curry Rice (it's not too spicy for those who can't take heat) and the Fried Chicken. Oh my gosh, the Fried Chicken is AMAZING!
Wash everything down with a cold beer or one of their cocktails. On my first visit (it was during a layover), I fell in love with the vibe of the place and the Tommy's Margarita Ryo made was just so tasty. We had such a good time that I got carried away and missed my connecting flight home, so be warned, you're in for a good...
