(Updated following patronizing reply from restaurant)
My original review:
If you are a Moroccan person missing home, you will likely enjoy this restaurant. However, in reality this is home-cooked food posing as restaurant food and charging double the price for the latter. Tiny portions, high prices, and worst of all, EXTREMELY slow service (and a very cramped table in the corner). We paid JPY50,000 for 6 people with two bottles of wine and not much food, were still hungry by the end. Would only go again for lunch.
My response to their reply:
"You paid 50,000 YEN and that you were still hungry when you left...since you were more oriented towards alcohol"
We ordered more alcohol because as mentioned, it took a very long time for our food to arrive (over 2 hours for all of it), despite not ordering very much, and asking repeatedly when the food would come. It was hard to get the server's attention as we were put in a tiny corner room with 5 people, giving very little personal space and poor visibility into the main part of the restaurant.
"Your sophisticated taste and distinguished choices made you choose the best bottles of our restaurant, which inflated your bill"
Not true - there are only two choices of red wine on your menu - one costing c. JPY5000, and the other JPY9000. The first bottle of wine was not good, and as mentioned we were tired of waiting so long for the food, hence we decided to try the other bottle.
"I also inform you that our dishes are designed and prepared with care to be more than enough for one person"
As mentioned in multiple other reviews, the food portions are tiny and the prices are high. For instance, for JPY4000 yen (the cost of the lamb tajine), you could have a superb main dish at a top rated restaurant like Napule or Bisboccia - not this.
"While when you left you had confirmed your complete satisfaction with both our service and our product"
No I didn't - this is a lie. As mentioned, your service is incredibly slow, the food portions tiny, and the price expensive.
"I would really have liked to hear your comment directly in order to ensure that you are completely satisfied"
This review is my direct comment - given how poor the service was on the day, I would be amazed if you would have given me the time to explain the...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at this fantastic Moroccan restaurant, and I can confidently say that it was one of the best dining experiences I've had in a long time. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and a welcoming atmosphere that made me feel right at home.
The decor was absolutely stunning, with vibrant colors, intricate patterns, and plenty of lush greenery that added to the overall ambiance. The menu was also impressive, with a wide variety of traditional Moroccan dishes that were expertly prepared and bursting with flavor.
I decided to start with the harira soup, which was rich and savory with just the right amount of spice. For my main course, I opted for the tagine with chicken and preserved lemons, which was cooked to perfection and served piping hot. The chicken was tender and juicy, and the tangy flavor of the lemons was the perfect complement to the savory spices in the dish.
Overall, I would highly recommend this Moroccan restaurant to anyone looking for an authentic and welcoming dining experience. The food, decor, and service were all top-notch, and I can't wait to go...
Read moreWorst restaurant ever! I got food poisoning 🤮 .
I had the Terribe experience of easting at this restaurant recently, and it was nothing short of a disaster. The food was not only old and moldy but also managed to give both me and my 2 friends a severe case of food poisoning. The complete disregard for food safety and hygiene is truly appalling. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the state of the food they served us. This was, without a doubt, the worst dining experience I've ever had. I strongly advise anyone considering eating here to steer clear and find a place that values their customers' health and well-being. 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤢🤢 Also , food is very expensive !! NEVER AGAIN ....
