I cannot believe anyone has given 5 stars to this restaurant. I live nearby and have tried many restaurants in the area. This isn't just the worst Italian restaurant in Takadanobaba, it may be the worst restaurant in Takadanobaba. I can't believe they had so many reserved tables. Maybe people drink heavily elsewhere before so they can stomach the food.
Overpriced and bland or oversalted food; rubbery roast beef; burnt and tasteless pizza; chilli oil way too spicy and more like tabasco than a mild Italian spice; a pitifully small caprese smothered in basilico sauce. The fatty paté as a starter tasted like lard. Nothing tasted good.
They charge the same prices as the chain Eataly, but half the size and none of the taste. And Eataly is just above average.
Walk 15min to Dai Paesani in Waseda for maybe the best Italian food in Tokyo with imported ingredients and homemade salami, FOR THE SAME PRICE!!!
Or if you are on a budget, go to Saizerya under Don Quixote.
Seriously, I'd rather catch Covid again...
Read moreThe atmosphere and people who work here are very nice :) it’s such a fashionable place to go. But, the food wasn’t good much. It’s not terrible,,,and the quality is absolutely higher than a family restaurant though,,, The pizzas came to our table for few mins after we ordered and they looked and tasted like it had already been cooked before and they just put it in an oven. Roasted beef looked and tasted like a leftover from yesterday. Drink is okay, but I think it’s overrated. Sangria tastes exactly sangria that we can expect. Cheaper wines are exactly cheap wines and they taste terrible,,,:( The roasted herb chicken was tasty. The chicken’s skin was very crunchy and the meat was very juicy. Most of the foods should be cost lower based on the quality in my opinion. It’s such a dissatisfying although the people and atmosphere...
Read moreLively place with good thin crust pizza and wine.
We tried Margarita and a special one with mushrooms and sausage and both were good. Tip: DON’T OVERDO THE CHILI OIL. It’s delicious but it’s spicy.
One pizza per person was okay for us, I’d say they are personal size.
I came with my husband on a Friday night in a chill mood and it was super lively, with several groups in after-office mood so it might be a better fit for groups of friends (at least on Fridays).
Cool thing: They have a wide wine selection and if you order 2 different dishes per person, you can choose to buy a special offer of one-hour self-service all-you-can-drink of their...
