We had the most horrible experience in this bar. First, we wanted to take a picture of the nice scenery with Tokyo tower and the waiter said very angrily that we need to sit and order first. Ok. We ordered, and then wanted again to take a picture but he seemed yo have a problem with us walking in the bar and closed the exit to the rooftop (isn’t this is why people go to a rooftop bar in the first place? Anyway, we politely did as we were told and avoided moving or taking pictures. Then, after ordering food and cocktails, the waiter kept pushing us to order more things - chasers, more drinks etc. We said we were fine and again he seemed very angry at us for not taking his offer. Ok. Then he told us at 21:30 it was last order time and that they are closing soon and the place is supposed to be open until 23:30! By this time we were so frustrated that we could not move or enjoy our food and drinks without being pushed over every 5 minutes and asked for the bill. When the bill came we asked to split the bill - a totally normal request, especially in Japan (where it is probably a human right to split a bill). The waiter refused and said we must pay the whole amount with one credit card! By this time I couldn’t take it anymore and asked to see the manager and what do you know! Suddenly splitting the bill became possible! Imagine that! To sum things up: if you are a luxury rooftop bar at a luxury hotel you should probably aim for a higher level of service. I recommend you try one of the other rooftop bars in Tokyo - which are mostly great, and skip the Andaz.
P.S the Tokyo Tower picture I added was taken after we left the bar, from the...

Words cannot fully capture the magnificent experience I recently enjoyed at the Rooftop Bar Andaz Tokyo. It's not just a bar, it's a celestial experience perched on the city's 52nd floor, with every aspect thoughtfully crafted to delight the senses. It's the highest Rooftop Bar in Tokyo.
As you ascend towards the heavens from the city's bustling streets, you're transported into an oasis of sophistication and tranquility. The first thing that captures your attention is the breathtaking view. Tokyo doesn't just unfold before your eyes, it flourishes in all its panoramic grandeur, offering an unparalleled birds-eye view that's guaranteed to leave you mesmerized.
But the view isn't the only thing to relish, for the Rooftop Bar Andaz Tokyo presents one of the finest cocktail experiences in the city. Each sip of their stellar cocktails, hand-crafted by expert mixologists, feels like a celebration of nuanced flavours. They're not merely good; they're a revelation. An exquisite amalgam of taste and refinement that pairs seamlessly with the awe-inspiring view.
Visiting the Rooftop Bar Andaz Tokyo wasn't simply dropping by for a drink, it was like glimpsing into the soul of the city while savoring some of the best cocktails of my life. This place is a must-visit hotspot in Tokyo that marries a scenic tranquility with the spirit of fine mixology.

Read moreWe came here on the last night of our honeymoon and unfortunately wasn’t the best experience to end on. We were not guests of the hotel but were staying nearby. I have never left a negative review before and unfortunately today is the day.
The staff are extremely friendly and accomodating and the view is incredible, even for a rainy Sunday night it felt like we were in the clouds.
We were the only two in the bar when we entered and were asked whether we wanted to sit inside or “outside”. I note outside is still completely covered. As it had been a wet day there seems to be a leak and silver tarp was covering the seating next to us which really reduced it from the luxury feel you pay $30 per cocktail for.
2/3 cocktails that we had were lovely. The third looked like a swamp. A glass of Coke is 1200 yen.
We were told they were out of all nigiri and sushi so we ordered the karage and beef Katsu sandwich. Both might have been worth the price if they hadn’t arrived like they had been sitting in fridge for 10 minutes. Cold food again only made better by the view.
Whilst we were eating another party starting smoking next to us which is fine but a heads up from The waiters that smoking was allowed in this area would have been appreciated and may have improved (but probably not) our cold meal.
For a 17700 yen price tag for 60 minute booking I could suggest plenty other places in Tokyo to go, even the $10 hotdogs at Shibuya sky were, at the very least,...
