One of the best meals I’ve ever enjoyed at a steakhouse. From the first cocktail, I could tell the course was going to be something special.
I was recommended the T-bone steak course menu. This included bread, a unique Cesar salad, seared scallops, onion soup, and the main course of a massive T-bone steak, mashed potatoes and creamed spinach. The meal wrapped up with a lovely desert of cheesecake and ice cream, with a cup of decaffeinated coffee. Along with the meal, we enjoyed a cocktail (the fresh strawberry Bellini was out of this world), and two glasses of wine (white to start, red to accompany our T-bone).
First of all, the course was a massive amount of food. Especially the T-bone and sides; that could have easily feed four people instead of just the two of us. Thank goodness they let us take home the leftovers, since there was not way to finish all that meat in one sitting.
Every dish was delicious. The only part of the course that wasn’t exceptional was the onion soup- personally, I’d prefer more cheese and bread to help balance the flavor. I’d also have liked more bread, as each dish had excellent sauce that bread would be perfect to soak up- I was finished with my roll after the salad course and found myself really wishing for more. Then again, there was so much food maybe it’s a good thing there wasn’t more bread… However, those are my only suggestions, as the rest of the meal and experience was completely enjoyable.
Wonderful, attentive service, spectacular food and a posh atmosphere- everything you expect from a high end steak house. Perfect for special occasions and...
Read moreThe restaurant offers a classic dinner setting with a calm, refined ambiance. It is nicely decorated and uses clever lighting to highlight the tables and dim the rest of the restaurant, creating a warm and character rich atmosphere. I started with the caesar salad, which was well balanced and featured just the right amount of parmesan. For my main course, I ordered The tasmanian cape grim fillet (pasture fed). The fillet was nicely seasoned, while the cook was spot on. As a side, I ordered the fries. These were decent, but could benefit from more crunch and firmness. Optionally, I would propose to offer a steakhouse fry seasoning to elevate the fries just a little bit more. The ketchup was amazingly rich, while the mayonaise was clearly heinz. I would recommend serving a dutch brand, but this might be my non-objective opinion. For dessert, I ordered The lemon merengue pie with vanilla ice. The meringue was nicely balanced and refreshing while the vanilla ice was smooth and of great texture. Service was outstanding. The staff were consistently attentive, going the extra mile with frequent water refills and table cleaning, being on constant standby.

Read moreBeen going 3+ times a year for the past 7 or so years because the atmosphere and cocktails are top notch for Tokyo. The past year or so the food quality has been pretty variable, but the service level has gotten abysmal every time. Plates having to be piled up on the side of the table, hoping one of the bored servers pick them up. I remember back when they would use the tool to clean up the bread crumbs. Asked to have them cleared, get glares. Ask hostesses a few times, who apologised profusely. Bartenders still top notch, in service and cocktail quality but a few times we sat there with empty plates and glasses for 25 mins waiting for our food on a slow night, only for it to come out cold and just dumped on the table with a stone glare. Pretty sad for tabs that easily run over 50,000 yen. I keep wanting to go back, thinking they'll cycle out the terrible servers but wife refuses, so we've been going to the other comparable steak houses 1-2 blocks away who...
