Hotel Akasaka by relief is in a great location in Tokyo. I stayed there with a friend for one week and I feel like Akasaka is the best area to stay in. It had lots of food - restaurants and cafes - close by, and it’s close to several subway lines just a short walk away.||||You easily get to several central parts of Tokyo like Shibuya or Harajuku for food, shopping and sightseeing, or Roppongi for fun nightlife. It’s very central and you can even take walks to several destinations like Tokyo Tower, or several sightseeing spots like temples and parks.||||The staff at ICI is very accomodating, helpful and kind and we always felt very welcome and well taken care of.||||The rooms are standars Tokyo size, which is small, but we still managed to find enough room for having as much luggage as we did (two big suitcases each and hand luggage too), so we did manage fine.||||As for my one critique was for the cleaning - some of the days it wasn’t as good, the bed was left unmade and messy.||||Overall, though, I really did enjoy my stay a öot and I will definitely be...
Read moreTravelled to Tokyo with a friend and stayed in the standard twin room. The room size was about the same as most hotels in Japan - we had to shift one of the beds closer to the other one in order to make room for our luggages to open so we could pack on the last couple of days. They do room cleanings every 3 days or so - but somehow our room weren't cleaned during the first 2 scheduled cleanings so we had to request for cleanings instead; the staff at the front desk were really helpful! :)
There was a small laundry room with 2 washing machines and dryers - it cost 500yen per session (5 x 100yen coins). Also the rooms don't have kettles, but hot water is available at the lobby (and there's an ice machine in the laundry room).
The hotel itself is a short walk away from Akasaka metro station and there were many restaurants and convenience stores located nearby. It is located along a slope uphill so do keep that in consideration when booking!
Overall it was a cozy hotel and I would definitely consider staying here again on...
Read moreShoutout to Kafi, and the rest of the staff for being incredibly kind and accomodating. Kafi went above and beyond for my group, from getting reservations, being kind enough to provide guidance to first time travelers, and much more. I've never truly understood the word "accomodating" until I stayed here. You just let the staff know what you want, literally anything, and they will go out of their way to find some sort of solution for you and work with you to make your experience better. Yes, the hotel was super close and convenient to all the stations and places I wanted to go and yes, the area itself was clean and was very peaceful, but the best part about this hotel were the people hosting and making the experience that much more relaxing...
