Exquisite and Soulful Sake Experience at Sake Studio Tokyo.

I had the joy of attending the Sake Omakase at Sake Studio Tokyo, and it was honestly one of the most thoughtful and enjoyable tasting experiences I've had in a long time.

The sake pairings were absolutely spot-on. I fell in love with the Wakanami and the Sogga Père et Fils was such a beautiful surprise: elegant, unique, and full of character. Each pairing felt intentional, with flavors that danced perfectly alongside the small plates.

But what truly made the evening special was Aaron. He was not only incredibly passionate about sake, but also fun, attentive, and genuinely caring about the experience of each guest. You could feel his love for the craft in every explanation, every detail he shared. He created an atmosphere that was both educational and relaxed — the kind of host who makes you feel instantly at home while guiding you through something totally new.

The food was beautifully plated and delicious — from the rosemary crackers and cheese to the brown sugar warabi mochi finale. Every bite was thoughtful and well-matched with the sakes.

This wasn’t just a tasting, it was a journey — and one I’d gladly take again. Highly recommend Sake Studio if you want to experience sake in a way that’s authentic, elevated, and full of heart.

I recently had the incredible pleasure of experiencing a Japanese sake omakase, and I can honestly say it was one of the most memorable dining experiences I’ve ever had.

From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm and intimate, setting the perfect stage for a true exploration of sake. The sommelier was not only highly knowledgeable but also passionate about the craft, sharing fascinating insights into the history, brewing techniques, and regional differences of each sake we tasted.

Each pour was thoughtfully paired with small, beautifully prepared bites that complemented the unique notes of the sake — from delicate floral aromas to rich, umami-laden flavors. Highlights included a crisp, dry junmai daiginjo that paired exquisitely with fresh sashimi, and a velvety aged koshu that brought out the depth in a savory grilled dish.

I appreciated how the experience was tailored to our palate, introducing us to rare and boutique sakes we’d likely never encounter on our own. The pacing was perfect, allowing time to savor and discuss each pour without feeling rushed.

Whether you’re a seasoned sake lover or completely new to it, this omakase is an absolute must. It’s not just a tasting — it’s an educational and sensory journey through Japan’s rich sake tradition. Highly...

We had such a fantastic time at this sake tasting! From the moment we arrived, the hosts made us feel incredibly welcome. Their passion for sake and their deep knowledge of the craft really shone through we learned so much, not just about the different types of sake, but also about the history, culture, and even small nuances in taste and aroma that we never would’ve picked up on our own.

The selection of sake was beautifully curated, offering a perfect balance of styles and flavours! From crisp and light to rich and complex. Every sip came with an explanation, a story, or a pairing suggestion, which made the whole experience feel really personal and engaging.

The atmosphere was relaxed and intimate, with just the right touch of traditional charm. We left not only with a new appreciation for sake but also with lovely memories and big drunk smiles.

Highly recommend to anyone visiting Tokyo! ☺️ whether you’re a beginner or a connoisseur, this experience is an...

Aaron is an incredible host—knowledgeable, engaging, and genuinely fun to be around! I walked in as a total beginner, not knowing anyone in the group of six, and walked out feeling like a budding sake connoisseur and with six amazing new friends. The experience was not only informative but full of laughter, great conversation, and unforgettable moments. If you’re even remotely curious about sake or just want a fun, welcoming night with good people—this is an absolute must. Highly recommend!
