Having visited 150+ restaurants in the Kichijoji area, one of my favorites is Sato no Yado, which specializes in fish teishoku set meals🐟
What I love about this place is that because it is run by a fish merchant, they have access to the freshest and best selection of fish, so the available menu is different each day according to what is in season🎣
Today I had the skipjack tuna grilled in miso, which goes perfectly with the rice, soup and pickles🍽🍚🥣
Great meal to refuel after today's gruelling boxercise session🥊
It's always pretty crowded so be prepared to queue for at least 10-15 minutes but definitely worth the wait😋😋😋

I'm not usually interested in this style of fish, but I was blown away by how delicious the food was. The flavors and textures of the fish were perfect. Also their miso soup had clams in them! You can tell that the chefs value the quality of their food. Overall an amazing experience and...

Sushi grade rice, bottomless cold green tea, very thin chopsticks, seating opposite unknown persons. Don’t worry about courtesy if you want to pour sauce into...
