Had heard so much about this place and was so looking forward to the meal. Had a bit of difficulty finding the restaurant. Was in B1 in an open air alcove, not exactly underground. Signs outside the neighbouring restaurants showed that there were many who knocked on the wrong door. I was surprised we had to wait outside in the cold a few minutes before the reservation time. The interior is a rather small space with seating by the counter where the chefs were making the sushi. I would say each individual sushi was exquisite but they came out a bit too fast for my liking, almost as if they were rushing us to prep for the next service. I've had meals like this where the chef explained the ingredients, the taste and the reasons for selecting those ingredients. In this case we were only presented with the names of the fish and after awhile, it just became fish sushi to me over and over again. I felt like I was lost in a fog. Happy I've tried the food but not sure...

From start to finish, our experience at Sushi Labo in Shibuya was phenomenal. Cleverly tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Shibuya, the serene, minimalist environment created the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable omakase meal.

The service was warm, attentive, and genuinely thoughtful without being overbearing. Each course was beautifully crafted, and the ingredients were fresh, seasonal, and flavorful. You can truly feel the care and skill that goes into every bite.

What makes this place extra special is how accessible it is—easy to book, incredibly well-priced for the quality, and welcoming from the moment you walk in. It’s rare to find a place that delivers on all fronts, but Sushi Labo does exactly that.

This has officially become our new favorite omakase spot in the city- looking forward to...

The dinner was so good! It was for a birthday celebration and i chose this place after reading all the review.

This place is not far from shibuya station. Probably 5-8mins walk.

Not wheelchair friendly for sure, as you have to walk some stairs down .

Once we reached, we have to queue for a while, waiting to be attended. The restaurant is small , yet bright and cosy. The staff and chef are friendly and can speak english. They would explain to you abt every dishes

No regrets! The dinner was so good. Ingredients were fresh and tasty. We chose a slightly more expensive dinner, which includes the abalone.

That abalone was awesome!

It was a pleasant experience and i would definitely come back again for this!

Please make a reservation instead to ensure...

Everything was amazing. From the service, to the food and overall ambience of dining at the counter watching the chef prepare the food. The restaurant is a bit difficult to find but once you do you are in for the most amazing experience. We opted for the 18 course lunch special and it was honestly the best meal we had in Japan. For 6,600aed it was amazing value and the quality of sushi was out of this world. The fish melted in your mouth and each course just left you wanting more. We were particularly impressed with the effort the chef went to explaining each dish to us, even using his iPad to showcase some of the more unusual ingredients. Please go and enjoy this hidden gym just a few minutes walk from Shibuya Scramble.
