If you’re looking for a chill, diverse bar with great vibes and awesome food, this is the place! DyCE has a very cozy atmosphere. A friend and I stopped by this place for the first time and I was a bit nervous coming in, but once we walked in, the owner, Marina, was very welcoming and super friendly! She was very accommodating and even played some board games with us. She is also fluent in Japanese and English, so we didn’t have a hard time communicating and even met others that speak English as well. It truly is a great place to hang out and meet new people. Everyone here we met was super nice and friendly. In addition, they have a wide variety of board games from different countries. The ones we played were super fun and easy to get into. Her collection is really impressive. To top it off, the food and drinks were delicious! We had the cheese bacon pizza and it was amazing! If that isn’t enough, just go in and see for yourself, and I promise you won’t regret it. 😄

DyCE was easily the highlight of Shibuya for us, and I'm sure it will be for our trip to Japan in general. The staff was very friendly and helpful, even explaining the rules to a game for us when we couldn't read the instructions. It was a very comfortable atmosphere and everything you would want in a board game cafe. I look forward to returning again before our trip is over and each time we come back to Japan.

After spending a few hours at the café, our group was given yukatas and we went all together to see the fireworks of a local festival - it was a perfect Saturday. 100% recommendation for everyone. I will definitely go there again! (PS: For people who like chess - try Shogi!)

I was in Tokyo for a very short weekend trip and wanted to meet up with a local gaming group. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find a group with a meeting time that worked for my schedule, but DyCE came to my rescue.

Though the cafe was empty when I arrived, the owner, Marina, was incredibly welcoming and offered to play a game with me. Before doing so, we spent a lot of time discussing here impressive collection, which contains many hit titles in in English, Japanese, and other languages. Off the top of my head, I can recall these title:

Betrayal at House on The Hill Zombicide Arkham Horror Wingspan (jp) Sagrada T’zolkien, The Mayan Calendar 7 Wonders 7 Wonders: Duel

And MANY more. Marina will gladly recommend a good game for you. I was also impressed with her knowledge of modern board gaming; she truly is an advanced player as well.

My friends and I visited DyCE last year and had such a great time, the staff was so welcoming and provided such excellent service and we were so impressed by the board game collection. I liked the place so much I decided to host a private bday party here last weekend and all of my guests had an absolute blast! We decided to host a murder-mystery theme which ended up being so fun because the space served so well for it and everyone got to enjoy the all-you-can-drink option offered in the menu. The owner is so incredibly friendly and personable and made the whole night go really smoothly for us, she even put up some decorations and showed us hospitality that went above and beyond throughout the night. We are so grateful to Marina for the stellar event and amazing service she gave. We will never forget the wonderful time we had thanks to DyCE and we plan on visiting again just to play some of their many many...
