The positive: bagels

The negatives: If you're dining in, they don't toast the bagels or have cream cheese. They just hand you a cold bagel.

The service isn't that great. Today the guy ringing me up messed up my order three times (I ordered in Japanese so it's not a language barrier). He didn't apologize or seem to care. Probably won't bother with this place again. Just down the way is Universal Bakes, and they have much better service and a large selection of baked goods (even if vegan food isn't your thing, it's really good). It's too bad because I was happy to find a place that sells bagels but not worth the incompetence or...

I was so happy when I heard that there were a cafe open at 7 in my neighborhood…I came for a bagel and a coffee to realize that the bagel are only available for hotel outsider from 8 am, and hotel guest from 7am. So I sit there like an idiot, my stomach gurgling and watching other customers enjoying their delicious looking bagels while miserably sipping a strong coffee that would ultimately hurt my empty stomach. Otherwise wonderful coffee, as always with Sidewalk coffees, my favorite in Tokyo! PS: there are almost no customers and they could really have made me a bagel. But rules are...
