The rude sales assistant didn’t even try to help me find the tea I wanted. Even though I spoke Japanese, the person kept asking the same and same questions as I spoke with him in my native language instead of Japanese. Eventually, I felt that he just marked me as a “ stupid gaijin” and didn’t have any intention to help. This was a fantastic little tea shop and some of these reviews from tourists are ridiculous and unfair. Yes, they enforce a limit on the matcha purchased, and yes it is more limited toward tourists.
