Mari is a spectacular host. She was responsive, helpful and very accommodative of our needs even before we started to live in her apartment. The place is done up pretty well, with enough amenities and is located within the famous Shimokita area lined with thrift shops, vintage stores, supermarkets. There is a 7 eleven and a Lawson within 2 mins walking distance and the Odakyu and Keio line of Shimokitazawa station are also closeby. There is a Don Quijote within a 5-7 min walking distance. We loved staying here! The only drawback was - the place was too cramped up but we were made aware of this beforehand considering apartments in Tokyo are anyway small. There are two wardrobes that are already filled with equipments, vacuum cleaner, extra bedding etc. It would be great if at least one of them were free to use for the guests. Be prepared to keep your luggage in the suitcases, we could only open one suitcase at a time, remove our clothes and close it again for the other person to make space and open their suitcase. The other downside is - the toilet doesn't have a bidet. Apart from this, I think we got an amazing deal for the expensive and crowded cherry blossom period and I am quite happy. Thanks once again for...
Read moreA great place to stay in a great area.
We wanted somewhere with a nice neighbourhood vibe, and Shimo-Kitazawa didn't disappoint.
The apartment is well situated near the station and shops, cafes etc. It was really easy to find and the check in process was simple and well explained by the host.
The room is comfortable for 2 people, with a lovely outdoor patio area. The bed is comfy and lots of extra bedding if we need it.
Everything was very clean and well maintained, with plenty of utensils and toiletries for us to use if we needed them.
Overall, a great place to stay at a fair price....
Read moreWe had a lovely stay. The rooms are nice and in a quiet neighbourhood in Tokyo. There ar a lot of vintage clothing shops and coffee places around. There is a small kitchen to prepare your food, but we didn’t use it. There is a washing machine. For a appartement in the city I think it’s spacious and a gem with two small outside areas. The metro is really close by and about 20-30 minutes to Shibuya. We thought it’s pretty easy to acces all of Tokyo...
