Staff is not following health regulations regarding COVID-19. Every table was full when we arrived, so we sat at the counter. We had a full view of the kitchen, and there were some things that made our visit unpleasant. First, service was SLOW. The chef was cooking only two burgers at a time and using only half of the grill. I watched him slowly cook four burgers and one steak before he finally got to our order. We waited more than half an hour just for a regular hamburger and a cheeseburger. I can't imagine why he wouldn't add charcoal and use the whole grill during peak lunch hours. Second, and much more concerning, was the chef's reckless attitude toward health and safety precautions. Although he was wearing gloves, I saw him touch raw meat, touch vegetables, touch the inside of his mask, and even taste sauce using his finger! He didn't change his gloves even once, so he used the same gloves to plate my food. Even without the threat of coronavirus, that's not acceptable. Not at all. The fries were frozen, not fresh. Potatoes are cheap. I'd expect fresh fries if I'm going to pay over ¥1,000 for a meal. The staff also gave us a mostly-empty ketchup bottle. Then they just stared directly at us while we struggled to get any ketchup out of it. They must have known we needed a different bottle, but they didn't offer a replacement. At that point, it was too awkward to ask for a new one. The only positive thing I can say was that the burger was delicious. Yeah... I still ate it because I was hungry and I didn't want to make a scene. Honestly, it was one of the best burgers I've had in Japan. It's unfortunate that the overall...
Read moreThis was the first place I marked on my last trip to Hachioji. Unfortunately, I didn't get to visit. On this current visit, I went there for lunch on my first day. The menu had more variety than what I expected, and a nice little secret called 8 Up. It's their secret, so I won't say what's in it but it's like a sweet citrus punch. So refreshing on a day like this! It's still warm, and humid here. They also have homemade ginger ale. There were several types of beer available, but I passed. It was before noon, it seemed too early for a beer. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato and onion, and the set (chips and coleslaw on the side). The chips were frozen, but still very good. I will go there again to try their blue cheese cheeseburger. They also serve apple pie, but I don't know if it comes with a slice of cheddar cheese. Hotdogs and sandwiches are available for takeaway. The burger set was just under ¥2000, but that's what they charge back home nowadays for lower quality, so I really didn't mind, and the beverage was ¥350. Less expensive burgers are available. Just remember, they are closed on Tuesday and Wednesday.
On my most recent visit, the atmosphere was more lively and the staff had heard of Dried Sardine and a few other places...

Also, I’m a vegetarian and was so satisfied! My boyfriend eats meat and was wildly impressed. The burgers...
