Run for the roppongi hills. Avoid at all costs.
This place is either racist against foreigners or all the reviews here are fake. This was possibly the worst quality fish and nigiri I’ve ever had.
I’m from LA and eat sushi all the time. I’ve had the full range of sushi, from best in class to this might give me food poisoning. And this one did just that..
Never in my life have I had nigiri at what’s supposedly a casual but high fish quality joint and been more disappointed and fooled.
This is bottom of the barrel trash. If you want to eat fish like you’re munching on a rubber dog chew toy, come here. The only thing melting during this sushi experience is your brain as it simmers in anger and disbelief.
They even managed to give me the one piece of toro with a huge unchewable stringy tough piece running through it which I was forced to spit out in my hand.
I had to decide whether to put it back on the sushi plate in front of all the chefs and patrons at the counter or throw it back down the hatch.
Anyone harping on the bang for the buck here is a moron. I’ve had 4x better sushi at these middle of the road prices.
I ended up on the toilet 5x the next day. I literally would have paid $200 usd just to not eat here.
Screw this place....
Read moreOur lives were changed by this meal!!! We truly cannot say enough good things about this place. The ambiance was amazing: beautiful interior and incredible service. The server was so friendly and thoughtful, the sushi chef was mesmerizing to watch and prepared us the most delicious food we have ever tasted. Watching him cut and shape the nigiri and maki was transcendent. The fish quality was very high. On top of all of that, we have several dietary restrictions: pescatarian, no shellfish, and fish must have fins and scales due to religious reasons, and the sushi chef was able to make that work despite how difficult our restrictions were. Also, the other people in the restaurant bought us a drink because it was our honeymoon, and all the staff had a drink with us. Truly cannot recommend this...
Read moreWe spent 26,000¥ for two courses of sushi here. I have to say I was misled by the many positive comments here. Taking into account the price, this place does not deserve such high reviews, in my opinion. Usually, I like to grab a set of sushi at the supermarket, and it is even better and more attractive compared to what we had here. Some fish seemed quite stale in addition to being tough to chew. Also, wasabi was sticking out from everywhere. But this place is pretty friendly to foreigners, as few such...
