Really enjoyed my meal here! Chef Takenami was really friendly, taking time out to explain each dish to me as they were presented. He even brought out a sushi book to show me the English name when he only knew the Japanese name of a few fishes. Special shout out to the waitress tonight, who spoke really great English. She recommended me shochu, which turned out to be an excellent pairing.

This was the most incredible sushi meal I've ever had. Located in a non-descript area in Minato City, this small, but cozy restaurant is warm and welcoming. Takenami-san and his staff is very friendly, smiling, and serves the most phenomenal sushi you will ever eat. On top of the sushi he will spoil you with excellent grilled fish, fugu, and many other dishes to round out a splendid meal. Booked 1 day before, but it seems like i could've gone without a reservation. If this is the sort of food you can get on a Saturday night with no reservation, tokyo residents must be spoiled rotten.
