Super bad experience here. Really very very bad. My first omakase that didn't serve me in the chef's table after visited for more than 50 restaurants. I made my reservation even one month ago. If i was the last one that arrive the restaurant, I don't mind sit on the normal table because I was late.. But I was the first that arrived the restaurant and I requested them i would like to sit on the counter. They don't even bother and just brought me to the table. Damn bad service by the guy that served us.. I don't know the name but he is a little bit big size.. Freshness of food was just normal that I could easily found from the other normal sushi restaurant. With the price I paid, it definitely not worth for it. Shari is not firm and not warm. They don't even ask if I like my sushi with normal wasabi or more or little, they serve me straight. For my past experience, all the chef will ask before they served my sushi. I don't feel comfortable inside the restaurant and wish they serve me fast so I can leave as soon as possible. The first ever omakase restaurant that gave me bad experience like this. I'm very disappointed with it and would never come back and not going to recommend to anyone.
P/S: if u really wanted to go to try for it, make sure u DON'T GO ON TIME. Dinner time is 8.30pm. We found that they assist the first few customers to the table and the late customers who came 9.10pm to...
Read moreA modern take on omakase, but not quite the full experience
I had a tasty omakase dinner here, and while there were some highlights, the overall experience was a bit mixed. The dishes were prepared in larger batches rather than being served individually or in small groups, which took away from the intimate, tailored feel I’ve come to expect from omakase meals in Japan.
There were two young chefs behind the counter, each with different strengths in slicing and preparation. While they were both skilled, the lack of a unified style was noticeable. During our sitting, most of the guests were non-Japanese, which might have influenced the pacing and presentation slightly.
I appreciated the creative elements in the menu, but it didn’t quite deliver the elevated omakase experience I’ve enjoyed at other places in Japan. Still, worth considering if you’re looking for something a bit more modern...
Read moreWe had the pleasure of experiencing our first omakase dinner in Tokyo, and it was truly unforgettable. The restaurant was conveniently located just next to Ebisu Station, making it easy to find. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was welcoming and warm.
The chef was incredibly attentive, not only preparing each dish with care but also taking the time to introduce every piece of fish. He pointed to the menu and explained the unique ingredients in each dish, which added a personal and educational touch to the experience. His passion for his craft really shone through, making the meal even more special.
Each course was a delightful surprise, and we could feel the chef's dedication to providing a memorable experience. We left feeling not just full, but truly satisfied and grateful for the experience. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking to enjoy authentic, well-executed...
