I went to Kamei with a friend of mine for dinner and we both thought that this was easily the best aruba soba we've had. This was a fairly new shop on our visit, but since then, it has taken the ramen rankings by storm. The made-to-order noodles are definitely the highlight of the dish, perfectly complemented by the mouthwatering toppings and a glistening sauce based on chiyu and shoyu. They also provide a small cup of dashi on the side to help cut through the richness of the dish as you finish up the bowl.
After the aruba soba, we couldn't just settle for one bowl. Kamei technically doesn't allow customers to order multiple bowls. We were told to re-queue if we wanted to get seconds but I guess it was one of the slower nights so as we finished up our aruba soba, they told us that we could just remain in our seats.

店主の亀井康太さん、女将のめんまさん(SNSで活動)は蒲田の「煮干しつけ麺宮元」出身。 宮元にて「手打中華蕎麦 亀庵」の名で間借り営業し、限定販売の際には常に長蛇の列ができていたほどの人気っぷりであった。
2022年5月にお二人はめだたく入籍し、6月24日に満を辞して独立開業というなかなかハッピーなストーリーである。いまもご夫婦で営業されていて店も清潔感がありなんだか全てがキラキラしてます。
場所は柴崎駅より徒歩4分ほどの甲州街道沿い。
平日12時半到着、タイミングが良かったのか外待ちは3名、中では4名。凄い行列と聞いていたのでラッキー。と思ったら後から徐々に列ができてきた。あぶねー。
先に食券を購入してから並ぶスタイル。 せっかく来たのだから特製といきたいところだがラーメンに向き合うため初回はデフォの醤油ラーメンを。
店内は亀井さんの「亀」をイメージしたエメラルドグリーンがちらほら。
注文が入ってから麺打ち、麺切りしていくので回転率は良くはない。時間に余裕をもってきましょう。
しかし何度も何度も生地を練っててこれを一日中やるのかと思うと凄い体力だな。
