repost: visited in late Aug 2021 TOTALLY NOT WORTH TO GO It’s one of the awfullest experience I had in Japan. I am a big Minion fan, so I had a high expectation with this restaurant.
The worst part: Food tasted so bad, especially the ice-cream cookie cake, it doesn’t feels like ice cream or cake, even, it got some green moist dots inside the “ice-cream”. the texture of the ice-cream was so hard and it doesn’t melt. Felt so disgusting! The Minion burger, the eye part was only a sticker, thou, it didn’t stick nicely. The burger was cold, meat was hard and not juicy. Overall, the plate displayed ugly and fake! It’s really not worth to take picture or to eat.
Others: When we arrived, only two table customer which food were served situation, but staffs were no where even the entrance counter. One staff came but did not greet and did not introduce their rules nicely. There’s seat with and without Minions. When I want to ask the staff could I choose other seats, she pretended to do other things and annoyed us. When I ask her about the nobility gift, and the coaster, she reply impatiently and in a loud voice, so rude and impolite. If I knew the nobility gifts were only for reserved customers and the coasters were given randomly, shall I need to ask!? Some bgm songs were totally unrelated to Minions. I don’t understand why they have to play those songs.
Overall, I don’t feel to have interaction with Minions in a “Minions theme restaurant”. I researched and knew their price was a bit higher than the normals, but with this quality, TOTALLY NOT WORTH IT! 1main dish +1dessert...
Read moreWe went for the Jurassic World Cafe theme that runs from July 5 to August 7, 2018.
The decor was great and the food design was really cool - but the food was bland and expensive.
The choices were very limited, but that is to be expected when all choices are keeping with the theme. The curry had about three small chunks of beef and two pieces of potato. The excavation cake for dessert was fun - covered in chocolate cookie crumbles and comes with a brush so you can "dust for bones" - but the cake itself was not satisfying in terms of flavor.
All the little toys and coasters were the real hit of dinner - we spent about 9000¥ for two entrees, two beverages...
Read moreCollab café, that actually puts lots of effort and understanding into designing and presenting their food.
Visited for their "Oshi no ko" collab and really enjoyed both the presentation and taste of their themed dishes. From the perspective of a fan of the series, they did very well on designing the dishes on particular moments of the show, which is so, so much better than other collab cafés in Tokyo at the moment. Plus everything was tasty!
Con: Ticket system. You need to be early to get a numbered ticket that will then put you on a waiting list for approximate hours later (or end of their day if you are less lucky). Requires some dedication...
