Evangelion Store Tokyo-01 — Local services in Tokyo

If you're not local to the area, you have to be very lucky to get any of the good merch as it seems like it sells out quickly. I was looking for Penpen stickers that were advertised on the store's social media accounts about a week before and they were already sold out by the time I visited. They also were sold out of blind box desktop figurines. The remaining merchandise was pretty disappointing and I walked out not buying anything. There were too many bland shirt designs and just unappealing, overpriced merchandise. I would advise keeping an eye out on their social media and anticipate that anything actually well-designed will sell out quickly. It felt like a massive waste of time going out of my way to visit here.

The Hakone store is a bit better as I actually found a few appealing designs there. They also carried some items that were sold out at the Ikebukuro store such as Nerv mugs and...

I just had to stop by during my visit to Japan as an Eva fan. I did not know such place existed and was so excited. The location looked familiar on the map, and when I got to the destination I was like, OMG. I used to come to this location often after school - There's tower record upstairs and it was a heaven for a music nerd back in the day when people still bought CDs. Anyway, this Eva store is in the same building!! Right outside of ikebukuro station. Enough with the personal sorry. So the store is pretty large. It's got a section for clothing, and the other part for other merchandise. I with I had more budget to shop. I found phone cases which is universal! Their towels feel real soft. I visited in January and they had some exclusive new year Asuka good on display. Stationeries were so cute and I just wish they had that store and items a decade ago so I could be using...

Small store, but not so much of an issue when there's so much merch everywhere. Only downside is that the better stuff is pretty expensive, but if you're into anime merch that's expected. Otherwise there's a lot of different stuff from standees to figures to clothes etc... Slightly important note, they tend to play the opening song over and over and it can be kinda irritating lol. Lastly, if you're not local to the area or if you're a tourist, it's hard to get the good cheap merch. Still, cool store that I'd recommend to all NGE...
