This is just an amazing find. First of all, kudos to previous reviewers for helping convince us to give this a try. It was so good, we went back two days later. The staff is amazing and fully able to help in English, with great explanations and advice. We ended up selecting the omakase option where the chef and presumably owner, Masaki, favoured us with a wide selection of tasting portions of amazing dishes - amazing both in presentation and flavour. Also, wonderful sake on the menu and he has excellent recommendations there as well. It is a very small place, so do make a reservation if you can, but do not be scared to call - as I mentioned, everyone there that we interacted with was very capable when it comes to communicating in English. All in all, two wonderful evenings there and it will be on my list to visit again the next time I am in Tokyo. 100%...

My favorite part about visiting Japan is that it's so easy to walk into some small shop with a lonely sign outside, and you will find yourself getting a meal worthy of a Michelin Star. ❤️

I found this spot on my last day in Tokyo and it made me so angry because it was so good I wanted to come back again! 😅

Everything we ate was AMAZING! Plus watching them cook various other dishes from the menu had my mouth watering and me wanting to come back to try the rest of the menu.

Chefs and staff were super amazing, helpful, and just all around great. Food was phenomenal! Inventive, delicious, and a perfect combination of flavors and style.

Bring your appetite when you come here! Make a night of it and get drinks (I loved their lemon sours, so refreshing!) appetizers and a main course. Indulge...

Walked in here expecting nothing at all as my family was just wandering and being indecisive about our food, I could not be happier with our decision! The owner was welcoming and very caring about my food restrictions ( I am vegan but my family is not). My brothers and mother say that the beer is excellent and a must try. We got the shungiku salad (simple yet elegant), pickled oysters (light and flavourful), and sweet tomatoes (not in season but best tomato ever). The ingredients in toakari are obviously fresh and well sourced. As a vegan, I thoroughly enjoyed my experience despite the initial presumed limitations.

In short, we highly recommend this small tasteful restaurant. Dishes to try: Deep fried tofu with miso (we got three) Grilled mozzarella sandwiches Shungiku salad Fried...

We were over a group of 8 people friends. Such a great place and hidden gem! The food was honestly amazing. The wagyu and scallops literally melt in your mouth. Don't even get me started with the starters, highly recommend the grilled mozzarella anchovy and the pork roll. The okonomiyaki with leek was also phenomenal. Spent 2 weeks in Japan, this place had the best Japanese fruit wine EVER. Especially the plum wine and mandarin wine. The staff was welcoming and attentive. Especially the teppanyaki chef, who was always smiling and so friendly! I'm going back to Japan in a few months with my family, should definitely expect another visit from me soon :)
