My experience at the bar was significantly marred by the behavior of the blonde woman who, as I later learned, is rumored to be the owner. The service was below par for several reasons
Despite waiting for over 20 minutes in the designated area, the woman seemed to prioritize seating other patrons, particularly a group of individuals who arrived after us. This lack of professionalism and rudeness was evident and disappointing.
Upon finally being seated, I encountered another issue when a fellow patron was vaping nearby. Following suit, I also indulged, only to be reprimanded in a bossy and condescending manner by the blonde woman. Such behavior left me questioning her authority and hospitality as an owner. It was also apparent that the blonde woman showed preferential treatment to certain patrons over others, particularly those who were non-Asian. This selective friendliness only added to the overall poor service experience.
Regarding the drinks, they were unremarkable and lacked originality in both flavor and presentation. There was nothing particularly exceptional that would warrant a return visit.
In conclusion, the owner's demeanor greatly detracted from the atmosphere, service quality, and overall enjoyment of the establishment. Her lack of hospitality tarnished the experience for me, tarnished the bar and most of all tarnished her name, not that i know her name (who cares!?)
definitely not befitting on the 50 Best Bars in Asia list, i hope not, that would have been a...
Read moreTokyo Confidential offers an experience that transcends the ordinary. From the moment you step through the doors, you're enveloped in an atmosphere of effortless cool and unpretentious sophistication.
My wife and I recently visited for pre-dinner drinks and were immediately captivated by the eclectic yet cozy ambiance. The bar exudes a vibe reminiscent of a chic house party, where every guest feels like a VIP.
As we settled in, we were greeted warmly by the attentive staff who guided us through the menu with expertise. We indulged in a Cheung Fun Old Fashioned, a tantalizing Espresso Martini (whose name eludes me, but not its exquisite taste), and a glass of fine wine. Each sip was a revelation, a symphony of flavors expertly crafted by the talented mixologists.
But it's not just the drinks that make Tokyo Confidential a standout destination. The panoramic views of Tokyo Tower from the rooftop terrace are simply breathtaking, serving as a constant reminder of the city's vibrant energy.

Read moreAmazing cocktail bar near Roppongi. This bar is on the 9th floor above what looks like a car show room. You won't be able to see it from the street, but don't let the elevator ride scare you.
The bar itself is gorgeous. Good layout and traditional bar top with bar seats. I came on a Sunday night and it was busy without being crowded. There is a balcony with awesome views of Tokyo Tower. The menu is super fun and creative presented in a manga style.
I tried a few different cocktails and each one was a hit, unique and special in its own way. The inventiveness here is incredible and I wish I could've tried every drink. Additionally they've got a special sake vending machine (there really is a vending machine for everything in Tokyo) that makes for an interactive experience picking out your own sake to pour.
My favorite drink was Cream which prominently tasted like coffee and raspberry and was delicious. Watching each drink made is a show in and of itself and I really enjoyed sitting here and interacting with the staff. Service is phenomenal. Foreigner friendly with an English menu and a staff that speaks English well. Thank you Waka, Kouki, Taiga and the crew for being so welcoming and giving me a memorable night. A must stop and will be back next time...
