Tokyo Food Guide: The Ultimate Guide to Chinese Breakfast in Tokyo 🥟

We absolutely loved our experience here: 🍲FOOD: We got the popular option on the menu: the tofu soup with some extra meat (delicious, light, comforting), the sesame-soy milk soup (really nice cold for breakfast on a hot day!), the peanut bread (oh my god amazing I’d eat 100 of them in 1 sitting, perfect texture and flavour combo) and the black sesame bread (yummy!! Lightly sweet, intense black sesame flavour), and the peanut milk (ミージャン, fantastic. It was creamy!! We were afraid it would be too watery but it was actually thick and amazingly yummy). Everything was so delicious! I REALLY wanted to try the peanut soup and other breads but it was sold out 🥲 next time!! 💸and cheap!!! Prices are sooo reasonable! I would definitely love to go back soon and try all the other options!! They accept PayPay. We’re two Italian sisters going cafe/restaurant-hopping! Prepare to wait, Google maps misled me to think theres no wait at opening (9am) and just 15 min wait afterwards... I arrived at 8:55 and was surprised I need to get a number already. I got 34... Waited over 90 minutes for my number to be called plus another 20 for the order to be ready... So we started eating at almost 11. There's not much to do around, but there is a small park with some benches... That being said, the breakfast was really delicious and great value. Servings are quite small, so don't hesitate to order extra if you're hungry (especially after waiting for over an hour). There are many workers here (about 8-9?) so I was a bit surprised the service is a bit slow, but they're nice. All in all, I'd go again but I'd plan my visit differently!

The place is open until 14:00, but when I arrived at 10:15, all the bread was already sold out. It’s puzzling why they don’t make a larger quantity of their main product if they know it’s so popular. I ended up trying the soy milk savory soup, which was good, but I prefer the version served at "World Breakfast All Day." The interior of the shop is pleasant, and the staff was friendly, too. UPD: Revisited the place 5 years later. This time, I only got one bread to take away—the one with peanuts, and it was really good. If you’re a fan of peanuts, you’ll love it. It seems the popularity has waned a bit. I visited on a weekend around 12, and they still had a good selection of items to choose from.

The freshly squeezed soy milk made in-house is very delicious. There are some options available for vegans and vegetarians, but since the menu doesn’t have plant-based labels, it’s recommended to ask the staff. The menu is in Japanese only. It’s a popular place, so expect lines. I’ve only been there on weekends, but even 15 minutes before opening, there was always a line. This is the same even on rainy days. There is a touch panel at the entrance where you can get a waiting ticket. You can check the waiting status online, allowing you to leave the area if needed.

Loved this quaint Taiwanese restaurant. The service was very friendly. I ordered the Doujiang, a black sesame bun and another bun with onion & some sort of seafood filling. This was my first experience trying Doujiang and I was not disappointed. It’s a savory dish. A thin, soy milk porridge that is surprisingly filling. The black sesame bun was sweet and nutty. I’ll probably be back to grab more of these to go because they were amazing. The other bun was also very flavorful and delicious. I highly recommend trying this restaurant.
