I recently had the pleasure of dining at Tonkatsu Maruschichi Monzen-nakacho, and it was truly an exceptional experience from start to finish.
I ordered the Tonkatsu, and I must say, it exceeded all expectations. The perfectly breaded pork chop was a masterpiece in itself – crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. Each bite was a delight to the senses, bursting with flavor and texture.
Accompanied by fluffy white rice and perfectly cooked eggs, the Tonkatsu dish was a true symphony of flavors. The combination of savory pork, fluffy rice, and creamy eggs created a harmonious balance that left me craving more with every bite.
Tonkatsu Maruschichi Monzen-nakacho truly exceeded my expectations in every way. I left feeling satisfied, impressed, and eager to return for another unforgettable meal. I highly recommend this restaurant but must make reservations at least one...

What impressed me the most was the sophisticated taste the katsu had. Of course it was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, but there was a bit of sweetness as well. Words somewhat fail to capture that taste (or twist), so I highly recommend visiting in person to try for yourself! Also, it was so satisfying to simply bite into the meat as the texture was both chewy and soft. The meat was chewy but it would melt inside your mouth.
What an experience! It was so nice that I had to buy another serving for takeaway (for midnight snacks)!
Must visit if you’re in...
Read moreI ordered the 並, and I am very looking forward the tonkatsu. I was told that I need to reserve in order to dine in, I saw there is still one seat inside. But they don’t allow me to go in. While a Japanese just told them he want to dine in, and he let him to sit in. Very clearly the Japanese also didn’t do reservation, because he didn’t show the shop anything and mention the name?!
No friendly and mean to foreigner.
Second, i thought the skin will be crispy! No Not at all, soggy! IT IS NOT CRIPSY AND IT IS A RED FLAG FOR TONKATSU!
Very disappointing...
