We recently moved to Meguro and have been trying to find regular spots, and we definitely will be doing Trattoria Ciaoro more often. We came with no reservation, but they still tried really hard to squeeze us in. They asked if we could finish in an hour, and we assured them we could. Most restaurants wouldn’t even ask and just turn us away, but they treated us so warmly. We ordered their 4 course option (cuz we are fast eaters), but they were a bit doubtful we could do it, but were willing to accommodate. They were right, because they gave so many extra courses! So we couldn’t finish in time, but they let us finish at the counter near the chefs and even though it was our own fault, they were so apologetic and gave us some free drinks and we met the chef, who is so nice. The food was absolutely delicious as well - the appetizers were so unique but tasty, and the pastas all have great flavor. They serve free coffee and tea with dessert and it pairs perfectly. Everything was yum. What really stood out though was the service - they gave us extra chicken skewers cuz they felt bad about not having the type of pasta listed on the menu and had to substitute, served everything super fast and hot and fresh, wanted to gift us drinks at the end but noticed we didn’t order alcohol so knew to gift us juice (so mindful and considerate). They were seriously so busy and we were random walkins increasing their work load, but they treated us with so much respect and served us such delicious food, that we really had such a...
Read moreWhat a find!!! We sat where we could watch the amazing chefs do their thing! They were so synchronized - like ballet dancers!! It was an eye opener to see the love and care they put into the preparation of each meal!!! We enjoyed each dish immensely and savoured everything. We have travelled and eaten in Italy so it felt like we were there again. The service was beyond 5 star! We gifted a kangaroo and a koala to the chefs and left reluctantly as we could have stayed all night! We are definitely going back before we leave for Australia and we’ll be recommending this mouth-watering incredible dining experience to everyone!! Thankyou Yuuki Kanebako for...
Read moreCame for dinner, chef was absolutely lovely - he gave solid recommendations and everything was fantastic. No English menu so you’ll need to use Google translate!
Started with some buratta (with tomatoes, figs and grapes) - probably the best one I’ve ever had in Japan! Was on the pricy side but definitely worth it. Vongole was DELICIOUS, clams were cooked to perfection and the sauce was so tasty! We also had marinara pizza, grilled lamb and a wine. Had no battery on my phone and they very kindly lent me a charger. They also got us gelato on the house! We chose creamy pistachio with a drizzle of olive oil and crushed pistachios.
Highly...
