Trattoria Monte Tomi — Restaurant in Tokyo

On our last day in Tokyo, my partner and I decided to skip the big restaurants and look for something cozy, unique, and memorable – and that’s exactly how we found Monte Tomi, a small, independent pasta gem that quickly became the highlight of our trip.

From the moment we stepped in, we could feel the chef’s personality shining in every corner of the space, each detail sharing a part of his journey. When we took our first bite of the pasta, the chef's face lit up with joy, watching us savor each delicious, freshly prepared mouthful. That moment was something special, and we instantly felt connected not only to the food but to the people around us.

We even got chatting with a sweet granny who’s been part of the neighborhood for generations. Talking and laughing with her made the night even more special, like we’d been welcomed into this little community for a while.

The restaurant is run by just the chef, so yes, there’s a bit of a wait – but it’s all part of the experience. Every dish, including the dessert, is prepared fresh for each customer, making it worth every second.

Overall, Monte Tomi was a beautiful, heartwarming dining experience. It was the perfect end to our Tokyo trip, and we can’t wait to come back someday, hopefully to share another drink with that wonderful granny! ★テイクアウト再訪

両国駅から徒歩５分、京葉道路から旧吉良邸跡地そばにあるトラットリアモンテトミにいきました、 いまは、水曜、木曜は「昼間のトミさん」という名前にかえてカレーを出されています。 このカレーがなかなか美味しいと評判なのですが、予約でなくなってしまいます なんとか今日買うことが出来ました 豚肉が赤ワイン煮込みが入っていて、またカレールーはスパイシーさをほどよくおさえつつ、 後からぐぐっとくるスパイスの使い方です。見た目も鮮やかで、ライスもサフランライスのようだし、そもそも価格がプレート付きで店内1000円をテイクアウト850円でコスパ良すぎです。 なかなかタイミングがあわないのですが、インスタをこまめにみて、かいそびれないようにしたいとおもいます。本業であるイタリアンはとても美味しいとの評判なので、是非伺ってみたいです

This curry is popular for its deliciousness, but it will be gone soon after booking. I finally managed to buy it the other day. The pork is stewed in red wine, and the curry roux is a spicy ingredient that keeps the spicy taste moderate while the spiciness comes after. It looks bright and the rice looks like saffron rice, and the price is 1000 yen if you eat it in the restaurant with vegetables and boiled eggs, take-out 850 yen is too cost effective. It's not easy to get the timing right, but I would like to check the Instagram frequently so that I will not miss the next purchase. Italian food is very delicious, so I definitely want to go eat at a restaurant

テレワークランチタイムに、両国駅から徒歩で5分くらいのところ、吉良邸跡近く、回向院の裏側にあるトラットリアモンテトミの大人のプリンをテイクアウトしました 地元では人気のイタリアンで、フィレンツェの老舗トラットリアで修業したシェフさんが本場の味を再現されているそうです。 自分の昼食の準備は出来ていたので、パスタは次回テイクアウトするとして、前からなかなか買えなかった大人のプリンを電話予約してようやく買えました。 このプリンは時期限定のメニューで、しかも不定期で作られているので、お店のインスタとかで販売日をチェックしているのですが人気ですぐに売り切れてしまいます。 プリンは塩味が少しあってそれでもカラメルと相性バッチリで、とろとろのプリンであいまって、すぐに食べてしまいました、秒食。 パスタだけでなく水曜木曜はカレーも提供されていて、昼前でしたけどカレーやパスタを買いにひっきりなしに来られていました こちらから少し歩いた先には、ヴィネリアソルクオーレという美味しいイタリアレストランもあるし、江戸蕎麦ほそ川も、両国駅から少し離れた静かなあたりに美味しくて洒落たお店がありますね。 いまの時期は大変ですが、地元に美味しいお店がいろいろあることを知れてうれしいです。 【Google 4.7 食べログ3.1 】 "At telework lunchtime, I bought a ""adult pudding"" from Trattoria Montetomi, which is located behind the Kira House, about 5 minutes on foot from Ryogoku Station, on the back side of the Kaikyoin." Needed a protein fill and got delicious steak and chicken (cooked two ways). Their natural flavors were brought out using healthy ingredients. After our order of the rosemary chicken, which was quite tender and juicy, we wanted a second one, but they ran out. So the chef kindly offered to make another chicken dish in a zesty lemon garlic; also yummy and nicely cooked! Watching the chef prepare pasta dishes was very appetizing, but unfortunately we got too full. Was not specifically searching for pasta that evening, but will def try it next time.
