Tsukishima — Restaurant in Tokyo

If you a foreigner, I would not recommend coming here. They are xenophobic.

One waitress was kind, but the one that helped us the most was mocking us for our broken Japanese. I studied Japanese for a while before coming to Japan, which she probably did not know. To our face, she was nice, but then she and another table of Japanese people were mocking every word I said in Japanese as I ordered food. Whatever word I said in Japanese, the table next to me would yell the exact same thing to the waitress and they would start laughing together. At first I thought it could be a coincidence that they ordered the same thing, but they did this every time and they never received any food. I later ordered “Hoppy Shiro”but she came out with the “Hoppy Kuro” and said “Hoppy Shirodesu”then went to the other table, discussed how she gave me the wrong one on purpose, and laughed. I would not want anyone else to experience this type of bullying and discomfort.

Save your money and try Monja somewhere else! Food was alright....

Stumbled onto this street and was our first time trying monjayaki and we loved it! The cod roe with mochi was amazing and the owner was super nice in explaining everything to us.

入店するなり若干嫌な顔で時計をちらり、終わりの時間を最後通告され、40分もあるから平気でしょと思い着席。初月島上陸でワクワク。もんじゃどれにしようか悩み決定。ノーマルとめんたい餅チーズ❗🍺とコーラ❗水はもちろん出てきませんでした。 そして初もんじゃ一発目がなんとまさかのめんたいの方、少し遅れること数分でノーマル。逆だなぁと思い先にできためんたいを食べたらうまい。ノーマルは想像に任せます(笑) ノーマルがほぼできたかなぁくらいで火を消されました。 ラストオーダーもまだなのに。 気付けば店は身内の溜まり場❔みたいになってました。でけぇこえでジモティーの話をずっと、 知らんし聞きたかねぇし、まだ終わってないのにバリバリ片付け始めるし、真後ろで片付けながらくっちゃべってるし、サービス業ってなんやったっけ❔くだらん会話は元気に話よるし、 まぁみなさん店を選ぶ際は慎重に❗ 早く帰るように仕向けてくるような店には気を付けましょう❗ 底辺見れたかなぁって...
