Turkish Restaurant Ankara - Dogenzaka — Restaurant in Tokyo

I would give it a (half star) if it’s possible.

Too much expensive, No English Speaker, No English Menu, Foreigner unfriendly, Tricky Menu, Poor serving.

Although, I’ve been to many countries around the world, and have been living in Japan for more than 5 years, but never seen such a tricky menu as your restaurant.

Worldwide, the price written beside the meal set is the total price, not the half price. We ordered a set meal and paid the double price written on the menu because of the poor explanation of the waiter.

I paid 10000¥ for a poor set compared to another similar Turkish and another restaurant in the same area. We did our best to understand what he tried to explain but it was too difficult without a single English word.

The resultant wasn't busy at all, however, It took ages waiting for the dessert to be served, while the waiter did nothing just checking and counting the coins with no respect to the waiting customers.

This place deserves much higher score.

I came here twice, once with my colleagues and once with my date. Both times the service, food, ambience and the belly dance was great. As a Turk, I felt at home.

Not to mention the extras offered by the owner such as çay(Turkish tea) and fruit plate.

Ate dolma, meze, lahmacun, iskender, lamb kebab shish, mercimek soup, baklava. I liked all of them. Baklava can be improved though, it was different from the ones from Turkey. Real baklava with pistachio is hard to find in Japan anyway.

I will definitely come here again.

The worst food ever, it was my first visit there with my family. I travelled to so far approximately 140km. The food I ordered was recommended by the staff which hasn’t taste at all, it was quite expensive and food quality was Zero, I ordered “lentil soup” which was no taste at all. The other dishes I ordered I feel like I am eating something tasteless un-cooked food.
