Ume no Hana is a high-class chain restaurant. We have been to this one several times on the 9th floor of Kichijoji's Tokyu Department Store. It is very beautiful and very traditional. You leave your shoes at the entrance because after that, the floor is all tatami. A kimono-clad waitress will show you to your private booth (Low doorway, watch your head). You sit on the floor on a backed floor chair, with leg space under your table. Their specialty is yuba (like tofu) that you cook yourself in thin sheets on your table, then dip in a sauce.
