It located nearby Shibuya station, along the main road which easy for me to access. The restaurant with a long counter, as we were 6 person that assigned to sit at table side. Whole restaurant was really dimmed out, good for couple maybe? Since I am a non-alcohol drinker, it’s a pity that here famous for Belgium beer but I cannot enjoy, if you are beer lover, I highly recommend it, my friends they enjoyed a lot.
First came with Japanese otoshi(compulsory appetizer), its chicken meat with soft bones, it opened up my appetite!! Following with Charcuterie, variety kinds of selected ham and sausage such as liver, pork leg etc. even waitress introduced when they put them on but honestly you can’t remember when you are eating XD, definitely all delicious. After we ordered Kiwi with white fish sashimi, on my god that’s so fresh and tasty …yummy!!! Apple and vegetable salad also came after, I am not sure what vegetable it is but its not my favourite vegetable…….
Main dish we ordered two sausages, with mashed potato pepper topping and cheese, it’s European style taste not that Japanese. You won’t miss the best combination with beer, even I only had my juice. haha
Finally, dessert is a MUST!! Two difference kind of them we tried, one is like porridge with strawberry crips, honestly I am not fancy on it. Another one is more typical green tea scone cake which I like so much!!
If you have chance to pass by Shibuya don’t miss this cozy restaurant, you can enjoy...
Read moreA short walk form Hachiko (10min-ish) you’ll find a cozy restaurant which serves wine & Belgian beers at a narrow nook of Shibuya. First we were welcomed with a cup of Belgian beer that was commonly served during the festive season. The interior was covered with timber with warm white lighting which gives the whole space a warm ambience. You could choose to sit at the bar counter or dining table. The tables were placed close to each other so it was quite difficult to get up. For starters a delicious chicken mouse diced of meats and edible bones we served. Next plate we had a meat hors d'oeuvres with includes terrine, rillettes ,smoked hams. I had glass of red wine after I was done with my beer. Then a plate of yuzu and wasabi sauce carpaccio was served. We also had a bowl of salad with walnut and apple slices. Next us we got ourselves s finger food of fires with tree dipping sauce paprika, celery , original. I personally likes the paprika dipping sauce. After the wine I ordered a red sangria. As for the main dish grilled tuna only 700yen for a huge slice of fish!!!! and a plate of homemade sausages was served . Both were equally delicious. We also had a pasta of the day carbonara fettuccine after a number of dishes I was surprised the sauce was not that heavy. For desert Gateau chocolate lat with vanilla ice cream. All dishes was just nice to share with a...
Read moreThis bistro was such a good find. It is a 6-min walk from the iconic Shibuya 109 which was perfect after a day of shopping with the girls. The interior was warm and inviting and the staff was also very welcoming. We ordered some appetisers and some mains to be shared amongst 4 of us. Our favourite appetiser was the chicken carpaccio which was light and succulent. The dressing was fresh with a hint of pepper and citrus. Absolutely refreshing. Of course, as we were dining in a wine & Belgian food specialty restaurants we had a couple of house beers and fries to go with it. The fries came accompanied by 3 house made sauces — we loved the spicy mayo dipping sauce best.
We especially loved the まぐろのカマカリカリスバイシーグリル (grilled fatty tuna) which was tender and fall off the bone tuna meat. Yum! Another favourite of the night was the German sausages which had hints of sansho pepper in them. Since we were still feeling a tad hungry (all that shopping really was a workout) we shared a plate of ‘Today’s pasta’. We were not disappointed at all as the pasta was cooked al dente with a delightful lip-smackingly light creamy dressing. Washed the mains down with a glass of red wine sangria which was pretty good too, though I would suggest sticking to another glass of cold beer instead.
Lastly dessert was also a knockout with the gateau chocolat & poached pears. Would love to...
