Mira is now on the upper floor of the same building it was previously in. The new space is larger and has better light as it's higher up. While the taste of the food hasn't changed, I feel like it may have gotten slightly spicier than before?? But it's still very tasty, so no complaints here.
I have spent so much time here as a student... The food is delicious and authentic! Whenever I have cravings for Indian food, it's always for Mira's Indian food, not any other place. Their curries are really hearty, very こってり to use a Japanese descriptor. Flavorful and filling, and the prices are reasonable. The chefs will also make other Indian dishes if you ask (though sometimes they will need advance notice).
There are, on occasions, dinner parties there that for a restaurant in Japan may seem a bit loud and disruptive. I apologize if our large dinner parties have ever inconvenienced you, but I recommend finding a way to be invited to them. Great prices, friendly staff and able to host larger groups. Can be a bit crowded sometimes but as it's near to the university and city center...it's to be expected. Probably best to phone in a reservation if you're more than 2 diners.
