Cape Cod Cook-Off — Restaurant in Urayasu

Writing review while still eating in the restaurant because I’m so impressed by the staff here!!

The cleaning staff (a young gentleman) does such a good job looking after the eating area, he cleans not only the table but also the chair both the seat and back rest so thoroughly that you can see the wooden furniture literally shines! He is also very attentive to the comes and goes of the canteen, cleaning soon after guests left the seat.

Many may not pay attention but I know how greasy and dirty other Disneyland are and how much effort and respect to their work it takes to maintain such level of cleanliness in high traffic area like this! Really, my highest compliments to the staff!

As for food, we ordered a bacon and egg burger and the prize set, i had the burger and it was very decent, fries were freshly made and nicely done with no soggy bits at all. Clam chowder was served hot, had plenty of ingredients and served with crispy slice of mickey shaped bread.

Considering the volume of food being served, they did an excellent job in keeping food...

Wasn’t aware that the only show food option was the salmon sandwich. I was told by two employees that this was the only burger offered to those with show reservations, which I find particularly strange as I saw the pulled pork sandwich and another type of burger on the menu. Yet, only the salmon burger with avocado is offered to those who reserve? I rarely eat seafood, and I’ve never had raw salmon. What if I’d been allergic? In a bit of disbelief that only the raw salmon burger is provided to reservation based customers.

After taking a bite and realizing it was seafood, I’d asked the staff about it. I was initially told I might’ve been able to change it, but because I took a bite (thinking it was pulled pork), there was nothing that could be done. Later, another staff member claimed I could’ve actually exchanged the burger still. So a bit of inconsistency on the policy. Unfortunately, however, it was too late by then. Great place to have your quick and delicious lunch before you continue off with your ride-takings!

It was easy to order (even if you do not know how to speak Japanese because there’s English translation to the food items) and the food was prepared quickly.

We got the signature Cape Cod burger (containing some ham, pistachios, sweet potato, lettuce sandwiched between 2 pink buns - which was good blend of delicious flavours at 8/10), an orange tea that comes with a caramel stroopwaffle and cream (9/10) and a white chocolate mousse with lime pudding (9/10). Do note that the available food changes according to seasons.

The attendants cleaning the area were top notched, wiping the table after every customer group left their tables. The place was a bit hard to find space but won’t need to wait long for an empty table with just 2 pax.

Definitely trying again next time...
