The cashier I interacted with on the afternoon of Sunday, September 3rd, was racist towards me. I am a non-Asian foreigner, but my Japanese is pretty decent. However, even though I approached her and placed my order in Japanese, she insisted on using heavily exaggerated gestures to communicate (even though I have absolutely no signs of not understanding her). When I said I wanted to order a piece of cake (カットで〇〇味1個) she repeated what I said a drew an exaggerated triangle shape in the air with her fingers. I enjoyed my lunch at Harbs and would recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious and...
