We ordered the ma-ra spicy ( Heavy Szechuan pepper flavored, kind of tongue numbing flavor) tan tan men with pork topping. It was possibly the least spicy meal I’ve had. If you like spicy food definitely ask extra extra spice on top. The flavor did not feel balanced and felt like it needed more miso and sesame flavors. It almost felt like diluted version of regular Tan tan men. This place had great reviews on tabelog so we thought we d give it a shot. Jang (匠) is famous about Tan-Tan noodle(担々麺). Actually here Chinise reataurant, but you can enjoy Japanese-Chinise dishes. Especially I prefer to Mah Lah Tan-Tan Men(麻辣担々麺). Taste is really spicy but there is strong body of Miso(みそ) and Sesami. And we can enjoy Mah flavor (麻味) clearly. Mah flavor makes our tongue numb. Yummy! Be careful about sweating! The soup is on the lighter side, pairing well with the noodles, which were cooked perfectly.
