I went for an early dinner around 4pm on a Monday so no wait time. As I was eating, the restaurant was filling up. menu isn’t huge but sometimes that is best. I got the limited seasonal dish which is suppose to be spicy red on the picture menu but came out very mild. soup is tasty and love all the side dishes. There is grated yuzu if you want to change up the soup taste. prompt and polite service. they will explain every dish on tray unless you’re non Japanese speaking.

Had the chanko nabe set for lunch and it was fantastic. Some of the best nabe I’ve ever had. The broth was very light and the meatballs were very soft. Portion size is adequate. The nabe did not have many vegetables or mushrooms, but had a lot of chicken meatballs. With the sides dishes it was a good sized meal. Excellent price also. I had to wait 10 minutes for a seat.

Good place to go for a hearty soup based meal. The little sides nicely complements what could become a bland meal after few spoons. If you are around Yokohama station and have no idea where you should go for a Japanese home style meal, this could be a nice choice. Oh, it was interesting to see that all of the workers were ladies.

This is the nicest restaurant I have eaten at some I returned to Japan. I appreciate the fact that the waitresses actually took our order. There were no bloody iPads or serving robots.
