Reference Price: Otoshi (a mandatory appetizer; it’s like a table charge): 300 Yen, Mandarin Orange Sour: 450 Yen, Assorted Sashimi: 1,980 Yen tax excluded.

Service: The staff are friendly and helpful. My wife has food allergies and after mentioning it to the waiter once, he made sure every time we ordered something else.

Drink: They have good selection of sake, beer and both seasonal and regular sour. It's the best selection for an Izakaya.

Food: They offer Japanese Izakaya cuisine using plenty of fresh fish and seasonal local vegetables. The food is always fresh and is the most authentic Japanese fish dishes I have ever had.

Space/Atmosphere: It’s tiny but, the space is expanded with vinyl sheets and it looks so unique. They have about 40 seats in total but they don't provide a non-smoking area. The tables are crammed and you have to sit very close to the next table. This place is always so crowded, so you need to speak loudly amongst the noise, but the overall atmosphere is very pleasant.

My favorite menu here is the assorted sashimi, a large portion of fresh fish with reasonable price. Maruu Shoten is simply the best Izakaya...

Very typical Japanese restaurant. The service is very good. As always in Japan attentive and friendly staff! Very good selection of food and the taste is excellent. Just the guestroom is a little from the 'old days' - I felt like in school because of the low seats not chairs but low stools at a lower table......

団体で利用しました。店員が何人かいる中で、みなさん活気があって素晴らしいと思います。ただ、１人の女性の態度がめちゃくちゃ悪かった。

私「お水ください」店員『お冷やですね』 私「はい、お水です」店員『お冷や？ですよね』 私「えっ、はい…お冷やです…」 なんなんですか、このやりとり。 ちなみに私はお酒を飲んでいません。酔っぱらいとしてあしらわれてるんでしょうか？

ここは団体の宴会に慣れてないと思います。 ビールのピッチャーも何個まで用意出来るかその子は理解されていなかったし、大体最初はビールで乾杯でしょう、ジョッキまで先置してるのに。その後もドリンクのオーダーが飛び交って嫌な顔された挙げ句、すみませんて、呼んで聞こえてるのにあからさまに無視する、目線も逸らす、ぶつかっても足を踏んでも謝りません。 他の子はそんなことないです。目の化粧の濃いギャルっぽい子です。その子のせいで２度と行きたくないお店になりました。

コース料理も煮付け、刺身が出たら次の料理まで時間が空きました。最後15分前に締めのご飯ものが出た程にお店は忙しかったんでしょう。料理も何人分が何皿出てくるかの説明もないし、写真の刺身は10人前です。どっさり盛りと比べるとどうでしょうか？10人前だも思ったらそんなに多くはないです。煮付けのあとはどんどん料理がしょぼくなってくるし。ご飯の後の香の物も出てきませんでした。

締めが出た後に飲み物ラストオーダーの時間です、お時間まで残り10分ですと彼女は言いました。 オーダーし切った時にはあと3分でーすと全てに声をかけていきます。おい待てよと。料理も遅れてたのに3分で飲みきって出ろ？さすがに頭にきました。 店長や責任者は今日は休みとのこと。それでこの態度かよと。

まず、団体での利用はおすすめしません。 対応に慣れてない嫌な店員に当たれば嫌な思い出しか残りません。 それで１人5,000円のコースです。人気店だからと言ってこの接客対応、一品不足した料理内容。食べログにも接客態度が悪いとはっきり書かれてましたが、そんなことないでしょうと思ってたのが甘かった。下見すれば良かった...
