Oyster Garden — Restaurant in Yokohama

Wonderful surprise to find this great little spot! I was greeted kindly when I entered and sat at the bar right away. Looking just over the bar is the kitchen where the chef was busy cooking but was still able to turn away from his work, to acknowledge my presence. The atmosphere iss charming and intimate, enough to make one feel like your part of the room yet, also like you can have a private conversation without feeling like your talking to everyone. The food is what this place is all about! I had the burger and was not disappointed! One of the best burgers I've had in years! It came soon after I ordered, and arrived hot off the grill alongside with a bed of lettuce topped with french fries and a side of baby Dills. Like many top shelf burgers I've had in my life, many often get messy and begin to be difficult staying together, because of all that it has under the bun. This makes it difficult to get that perfect bite all the way to the end, and frustrating to eat. This one had all the usual ingredients like the melted cheese, bacon strips, and lettuce, but it did have one difference. Small shop in a quite location. This place is truly a hidden gem. It's a small shop with only 2 tables and a bar. The Oysters were really fresh and delicious and every dish was prepared with a lot of care and love from the owner. I would definitely recommend to also get the tripe in tomato sauce with baguette.
