Came for the pizza which was good. Not cheap, but a bit expensive for something you can get at a hundred thousand different places. Wanted to try it out for the high reviews and apparent quality. So initially didn’t mind too much. Service was great as the pizza came out extremely fast after ordering.
However...there is a strange policy where you can’t order more than 1 pie per person. They told us they “don’t have enough dough for everyone” (keep in mind that this was a Friday evening- 6:00pm...). You should be prepared as a restaurant.
Can’t help but to feel like it’s a communistic style of portion control/rule? The oddest rule I have ever heard for a restaurant. They don’t seem to care about your business for the matter, but are more concerned with having enough dough to last them through the evening. Ruined my dinner and experience. Literally left after 20 minutes because we weren’t allowed to order anymore pizza due to Mao Zedong’s regime.
I’d rather eat at place that gives me the freedom in what to eat/how much I can order. You can find pizza at many other places.
To the restaurant: You are going to feel stupid when the COVID State of Emergency is in effect and you can’t make any money.
I won’t...
Read moreBeing an Italian restaurant with high rating reviews here on Google, frankly I was dissappointed.
Based on my Italian taste and honest opinion: The “pizza margherita” was less expensive compared to others Pizzeria in Kannai, but smaller. The texture was fine but the tomato sauce was tasteless. The appetizer “fried anchovy and onion” was good in overall taste, but the anchovy were not crunchy as they didn’t seem freshly fried. The addition of raisin, compared to the original simpler italian recipe, was out of place. The appetizer “mozzarella and tomato salad” had good fresh pachino tomatoes, but the mozzarella had a strange texture, possibly due to being kept frozen before use. The addition of a basil sauce made everything too overloaded in taste. The staff was too busy and thus not very pleasant. The inside of the place and the atmosphere was much more similar to a sushi shop chain than a cozy Italian pizzeria. Payment by cash only, in 2022.
In conclusion, if you are looking for a real italian pizza and overall experience, go somewhere else, there are much better...
Read moreIt was highly recommended by colleague as best pizza. I have ordered beer..... very small glass but it is okay. I always try basic margarita at new place and ordered it... I think it was 1,100 yen... size perfect to fill one. Pizzza I liked it.... very fresh but nothing special... very quick like a ramen shop.. so it is very hot when serviced because place is small. It was snowing so I could able to get in easily as only one. But seems to be busy and can see the reason for popularity. First impression or impact on me was 6 people behind the counter and one outside so total 7 men in such a small place. Not sure how they manage business so I may say they do not pay to new or young guys.... just guessing and legally you cannot have working more than two in the kitchen for such small place. Anyway good...
