This is a no kidding, fresh seafood restaurant, They have live seafood tanks that they get some of their dishes from. Of course, the large fish species aren't kept in live tanks, but what we did have was excellent. Everything we had was excellent and very fresh. The uni was the best we ever had (first sampling of uni in Japan for us). We've had fresh uni back in the States, but this by far, hands down, beats that. As you can see, we had a lot of dishes and were not disappointed. The wasabi was the real thing and came with a grater for us to get as much as we wanted. The abalone (I think it was abalone) was not quite to my liking. Another first for me was the whale bacon, which was different and good. 先日、【鷹一】で素晴らしい刺身盛り合わせを堪能してきました。こちらの刺身盛り「竹」は本当に見事で、見た目にも美しく、味わいも格別でした。新鮮な平貝、カンパチ、ヒラメ、タコ、カツオ、さんま、そしてウニや中トロが揃った盛り合わせは、まさに贅沢の極みです。

平貝は繊細でクリーミーな味わいが印象的で、カンパチは脂ののり具合が絶妙でした。ヒラメの身はとろけるような食感で、タコのしっかりとした歯ごたえも良かったです。カツオは香ばしい燻製の香りが立ち、さんまは脂の乗りが程よく、口の中でじわりと旨味が広がります。

特に感動したのは、ウニと中トロの組み合わせです。ウニは濃厚でクリーミーな甘みがあり、中トロは口の中でとろけるほどの脂の乗り具合。どちらも素晴らしい品質で、舌鼓を打ちました。

また、岩牡蠣も絶品でした。新鮮な岩牡蠣は、そのまま食べても、レモンを絞っても美味しく、海の風味が口いっぱいに広がります。

In the heart of Noge, Takaichi offers one of the best and most interesting seafood selection. As a starter, they offer you Anko (アンコウ) fish liver which was very tasty. We ordered the most famous fresh squid and kawahagi (カワハギ) sashimi. Both extremely fresh. You can choose to have the head of the squid tempura-ed. We had fresh oyster, steamed scallop and a bear meat nabe. All very very good. It is a little pricier than normal izakaya but the food is great and unique.
