I had the worst experience there. I am arabic American visiting. I look arab..but I speak very limited arabic so i choose to speak to them in english. Immediately i was treated poorly. Even though i have heard them making fun of me, i have chosen to stay and eat because i was fammished from my perta trip and since it's ramadan, i really had no other choice but to eat there. (The majority of restaurants are closed). It took 10 minutes to get my drink order, 10 more minutes to receive my drink. 20 more minutes to take my food order. At this point i said to myself "F it I'll go"but my body suggested otherwise and the reviews praised the food for which I was excited for so I stayed. It took 30 minutes to receive the food, mind you there were only 3 others tabels occupied, and i was thoroughly disappointed. The pita bread was obviously microwaved hard and unchewable, the hummus had no taste, the chicken kebob was extremely salty, salad was nothing but leafs and balsamic venigar and the Halloumi cheese was warm and hard to chew. Again, i was famished so i ate half of it.
While i was eating one of their employees was cleaning their dusty resturant and then continued to spray some kind if oder suppressants that was impossible to escape. So gross.
Whatever, i asked for the bill, and the owner/guy said he'll be right back and went outside to smoke in plain sight. Awesome, takenur time dude.I got up payed and was surprised they added a 5 dinar service charge. WFT? What service? I thought ok ehatever not going to argue...bad experience will never be back, but only 30 minutes after i left them i became ill. 3 days of severe food poisoning. I figured i needed to warn others. Please spear yourself my experience and go to someone who appricates their customer, treates them with respect and can serve delicious and clean food. Amman is full of them. Tammouz...
Read moreWe are two young women travellers and had our worst experience of Jordan at this place. We went to Tammouz to have Sheesha and watch football. We reached for 10PM march and few customers were around so we felt comfortable sitting in. The moment we arrived, the server came in with two bottles of water. We saw that none of the other tables had those and had water in a glass jar with lemon slices instead. We didn’t need water so thought we will return these later. We were there only for 45-50 min (half time) and many people started to leave so we decided to leave as well. The Sheesha was for 5 JOD so we were absolutely shocked when we saw the bill as it was for 13 JOD. We inquired why and saw that they had charged 5 JOD for water and 1.75 JOD as World Cup tax. Even the restaurants never charge more than 2 JOD for water here. We told them that we don’t want this water and haven’t even touched the bottles, and they refused to take them back saying that’s a ‘Jordanian custom’ and it’s for ‘opening the table’. We have returned these bottles in other restaurants before and they have been really polite saying no worries (e.g. Al Khal restaurant nearby - highly recommended).
It was quite evident that they just wanted to take advantage of us being tourists and also young women, and scammed us out of money which was quite a terrible experience as you don’t expect such things at least in such well established places. This place only cares about making money - A MASSIVE RED FLAG particularly if you...

Please make sure you never enter this venue.
We found the staff unfriendly and frankly rude! When we sat down we where surrounded by screaming young girls and extremely loud birthday music, the lights where turned off around our table and we where brought undrinkable lemon water for an extreme price, not only that but the jug of water seemed to be brought from another table that other customers had left behind.
After traveling around Jordan for three weeks this has to be the worst place we have ever been. (I am not one to complain but) All our dishes where way more expensive than anywhere else and the management should be fired! The food was absolutely terrible and way below any standard
After complaining I was forced to speak to the Owner on the phone who eventually deducted our water from the bill to then find out then don’t take card and wanted us to head to the atm to withdrawal money to pay for their awful service.
If my parents hadn’t been there I would have done a runner
Please please please if you are ever in Jordan make sure you stay far away...
