Ресторан грузинской кухни "Suli da Guli" — Restaurant in Almaty

Before it was a really good restaurant we used to go there but today it was horrible experience. The dishes was not good at all, especially Chkmeruli the sauce was nothing but milk with flour no garlic no taste and chicken was not chewable, such a disappointment. The kitchen should be ashamed to serve this to people especially we had an international guest invited to try Georgian food 👎. The home wine was more like a vinegar. But everything is explained by the fact that the restaurant will be definitely closed in the end of the month so their chefs are probably already gone. And to top it off they have blattodea in the restrooms who knows if it is in the kitchen too🤔 Ps they gave us two desserts to go as an excuse but it doesn’t cover the full price that we paid for the dinner and a disappointment in front...

Georgian restaurant with huge indoor and outdoor seating. Note the mneu is in russian/Kazakh and the waiters don't speak a word of English! But I managed with Google translate. Was mostly empty, but that's coz we arrived at 11 pm on a Sunday. Absolutely delicious food! Food came very quickly. The absolute star was this "spicy georgian stew" that we had, mopped up with a crusty Sourdough type local bread. Warming, meaty, hint of spice along with bell peppers and tomatoes in the stew. Had a plate of cold georgian Mezze which also was superb, garlicky. Tried khachapuri for the first time and liked it, but nothing really to distil guish it from a very cheesy pizza. Came to this restaurant because the reviews said it's the best khachapuri...

Don't you just love leaving a rubbish restaurant and thinking great now I can leave them a review haha! Honestly who do they think they are haha?! For a start as a Georgian restaurant they only have 1 Georgian wine by the glass (the house white or red). No Georgian beer. I had a glass of the red, smallest glass of wine I've ever been served but luckily it was disgusting, so actually a blessing in disguise. Oh also the glass was dirty, that was a shame.
