Hostel Star — Hotel in Almaty

Terrible experience. I stayed in a dorm and the staff were constantly coming in and out shining flashlights and talking about goodness knows what, their flip flops constantly moving and keeping me awake lol. It’s like they were doing admin or something in the middle of the floor and just having chit chat instead of in their office - super bizarre. The guests are quiet, the staff’s noisiness stops people from sleeping (not what you’d expect).

If you stay here… please pay on arrival or they will shine a torch in your face at 2am and demand the money while you’re in bed. We thought you’d pay before leaving since they didn’t ask us to pay on arrival and just showed us to our dorms. Also very unsocial, wouldn’t recommend this hostel to anyone! The location is very good though if you just need to stay for one night - it wouldn’t be so bad. But if you want to sleep for longer than 3 hours then maybe reconsider your...

The worst hostel ever, never recommend this to others , staff very rude and bad attitude even not helpful and the worst breakfast ever. Dirty room and not presentable, the room is very hot anf try to inform one of the staff to turn it on he said NO with angry tone of voice and most staff not speaking English.
