Restaurant Princess — Restaurant in Almaty

We’re from China and we love Princess Restaurant. We came here every day when we’re in Almaty. The servers all smile and greet us politely. The food is good. And they serve good tea for free. I only wish the rice could be bigger in portion.

Funny thing is that we found the Sichuan beef not spicy at all and the comments said it’s super spicy. I really feel for them that it’s hard to cater to all the customers tastes.

As a Chinese I wish you could bring the fried eggs with tomatoes to the menu, it’s a basic dish I love very...

Superb service, okay food. If the food was anywhere near as good as the service it would have been an easy 5, alas, that was not the case. Dumpling had way more cabbages than shrimp and mapo tofu had some weird cartilage/meat bits in it, despite being listed under the vegetables category. Everything tasted a bit off as a result. Prices are reasonable though and they do have a 2800 KZT business lunch that should make meat eaters very happy so do...

Used to be my favorite Chinese place in Almaty. Interior is same as it was 14 years ago. Service is slow. Biggest issue is food. We asked our server for a medium spicy beef dish. She recommended a super spicy one. Couldn't eat it at all. Unfortunately I think this was the last time we are coming to Princess.
