Uncle's Cafe — Restaurant in Almaty

Background: I’m a Malaysian who lives in Sydney, with very high standards for curries in general. Pakistani curries are my absolute favourite!

The mutton curry absolutely blew me away. The flavor was on point, the meat was extremely tender and kind of was falling off the bone. Even though the chicken briyani was reheated in the microwave because we were there half an hour before closing time, it was absolutely delicious. Other tables were ordering chapatis and they were freshly made by the chefs in the kitchen, so definitely try that!

The shop was clean, uncle was not the most chatty person (it was late and he was probably wishing he was home in bed to be honest) but I managed to squeeze a few smiles out of him :) 5 stars! Go...

A nice little cafe located outside of busy area of Almaty. Found this place from Google Map. We came here to satisfy our cravings for curry 🙂. It’s not easy to find curry-based dishes in Almaty.
