The Branch Restaurant, a restaurant that serves an all African Cuisine, is located at the heart of Nairobi's CBD (Central Business District). The Entrance is inside Kenya Cinema. You are greeted by kind personnel right from the entrance. There's a huge tank that has hot water for washing ones hands. This comes in handy after eating their authentic African food. They have plenty of sitting space on the lower level, as well as upstairs. For a better experience, I recommend sitting upstairs. The staircases are a bit steep so watch your step. Once seated, the service team steps up to quickly provide you with two Menus - one for drinks and one for food. Orders take about five to twenty minutes at most. My meals always come in less than ten minutes. Shout out to my amazing server, Dan. He's been an amazing person for as long as I can remember. Brown Ugali and Liver are always my go to meal. I've tried their beef and it's very nice as well. If you're looking to really dive into their expansive cuisine, try their brown ugali and fish or even Ox Liver. They have a wide range of greens as well. Remember, a green plate is good! They have a bar upstairs as well that serves cocktails, mocktails and shots. Their music is always at a decent volume that allows you to speak comfortably with your companion. Their food, their service, the ambiance - just top tier. Their prices are extremely fair too. They recently renovated their restrooms and they are now fantastic! When you come to Nairobi, you just gotta try The Branch Restaurant.

The Branch is an iconic restaurant located at Kenya Cinema Building, on the first floor. You are greeted by kind personnel the minute you set foot inside. It's a spacious restaurant with two floors full of various tables : 2 pp, 4pp etc. I have frequented this gem for the past 5+ years & it never ceases to amaze me. The service is prompt after 11:00a.m. Before that, there's a limited number of Staff Members available hence the standard service. Took my Mom there and she absolutely loved her Brown Ugali, Beef & Kachumbari. I ordered Liver & Brown Ugali - Top Tier & Fresh as always. I tried their Long Island Cocktail & I was impressed. Special Thanks To Dan, who always serves me. This place is worth every dime & penny that you have. It being a central place to meet in Nairobi Town, it is very convenient & well priced. I simply cannot wait to be back again.

What struck me about this restaurant is how sparkling clean it was. Not just in the absence of dust but the surfaces really look well tended to. This is also the one restaurant that I did enjoy how they prepared their Osuga (Akeyo), an indigenous type of vegetable. There's also plenty of seating space. The waiters are kind and helpful. Oh and they play good Rhumba music while you partake your food. Probably not the best washrooms and the price is a bit higher. All in all, it's a restaurant worth the try.

My wife and hard late night in town and decided to branch here for supper, i was very happy with the ambiance the view and the location matumbo was to die for, Athola looked good but tasted burnt, The service was horrible the waiter approached us asking us what we wanted to eat so we ordered food, but drinks were not offered, so we asked for drink menu and ordered drinks, food was fast within 2 mins it was on our table, the server kind of placed and dashed dissapeared, kales were missing and so as drinks, we tried to look up and find him but he was no were to be seen, we were hungry so we started snacking on matumbo because the other tasted strong burnt taste, but we ate matumbo slow awaiting to have everything together, we saw a different waiter who we told what was missing. So he brought it quick by this time ugali and matumbo was cold, that's when drinks were brought 20mins later by this time my appetite was gone. So a different waiter came and picked up our dishes at the same time we paid and told him to keep the tip, funny thing he pocketed it im pretty sure no one knew not even shared with our waiter and without giving any service. We left when washing hands water presure was so low your almost begging the water presure to increase. Im hopping this review will help you guys improve your service or else you will not last in the game. FYI We were supposed to start with drinks, then all hot food we ordered at thr same time, by that time we could have ordered more drinks with hot food which increases your sales, the waiter could have up sold, after 2 bites the waiter could have approached us asking if all is well, this is the time you can fix alot of complain a customer might have, which increases tips and good recommendations, a supervisor could have identified himself approached and asked how was our experience today, that could have prevented many people who will see this review and as well i could have left knowing your service will improve where i can recommend...
