Mint & Salt Bakery and Café offers a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere that immediately draws you in. The ambience is lively, with a diverse clientele that adds to the energetic vibe, making it a great spot to enjoy a meal while soaking in a multicultural experience. The wait staff are attentive and approachable, always willing to take feedback and address any issues with the meals, ensuring a customer-friendly environment.
The café is also affordable, which is a major plus for both casual diners and frequent visitors. While the overall experience is enjoyable, my last visit fell a little short of expectations. The chicken breast and fries, once a highlight, seemed to have dropped in quality. That being said, I’m optimistic that they’ll make improvements, given their track record of taking customer feedback seriously.
One standout feature is their Happy Hour, which is an absolute must-try. The mojitos, in particular, are exceptional and have a unique flair that keeps you coming back. Despite the occasional hiccup, Mint & Salt is still a must-visit, especially for those looking for a fun and affordable...
Read moreI knew about the place from TikTok and I chose the place for a meetup. It turned out to be not what I expected though my partner who works at a boutique restaurant loved it. To me it was small and congested.
We both took loaded fries which were yummy though quite hard. I ordered for passion mojito but sadly 3/4 of the glass was big sized ice cubes. Since I love drinks, I ordered for passion lemonade and requested the waitress to tell the barista not to put a lot of ice cubes like the first drink but again the lemonade had even more of the over sized ice cubes. I was completely disappointed. My partner took cocktails, she actually tried two different types and she said they were very dry.
The service was okay and the waitress by the name Proscovia kept checking on my partner who was taking cocktails.
I recommend the place for a quick bite when within Nairobi town. Not...
Read moreBought the chicken shawarma to takeaway. It was abit salty but otherwise it was the tastiest sharwarma I've had in a long time. It was also well wrapped and travelled well. I passed by on a Saturday at 3pm and the place was packed well past lunch hour so its definitely popular. The space is small and cozy but given it was full, there was no social distancing between customers and this made me very uncomfortable hence the decision to takeaway. It's mostly indoor seating and the place wasn't well ventilated given the number of customers. (There's only one table outside) There was no one measuring temperatures at the entry and I noted that when some customers left, the waitress wiped the table but didn't disinfect/ sanitize. The management could definitely do more to keep customers and staff safe during the pandemic. I would order again to sample more of their menu but...
