Cafe Deli & Delicatessen & Cafe Deli Cakes — Restaurant in Nairobi

What,happened to their service???Moi Avenue Branch?I ordered their deli trio,which has fish fillet,chicken and beefstew,it gets to thè table and the beef has a smell,i even alert thè waiter before taking a bite,she insists its fresh,i am not much of a complainer,i get into it even though i smell its bad,i take a small bite,man it was terribile. I Did consume thè chicken and fillet,very fresh i must,say then i requested thè waitress to pack thè remaining piece of chicken of which she did but gave me with thè stale beef stew,needless to say,i left it as it were on thè table. It dint help that the person we were sharing thè table complained that her dried fillet had too much salt,and she is diabetic ,let's not get to thè responses from the manager. I am generous with my reviews but that was a bad experience,was i meant to go with thè stale stew n feed my kitten or dogs? Secondly,how sure can one be that ,that stale beef stew wont be fed to someone???? #End...

First time here. Great location near archives. Very central place if you want to meet someone in town. They have plenty of space both downstairs and upstairs. The service was really fast when I went. I like that the music was not loud and was quite appropriate adding to the already lovely ambience. I had the chicken and mushroom pie with an Americano. The coffee was very strong for a single, but am not complaining ☕👍🏾. Both snack and drink came steaming hot. I really appreciated this because I was socked wet. The pie has enough filling and the coffee was a good size for me. Their menu has a good balance of items and the prices are reasonable enough. They have WiFi but I did not use it. Will definitely be back to try more food items. Great place for a coffee date, meet up or just to grab a bite if the que for the matatus is too long. I've always had issues with Cafe Deli's food..... I love their drinks (their alcoholic cocktails, smoothies and milkshakes to be precise) but something about their food just fails to capture my heart. On this day, I asked for this crazy shake and the taste was great, despite it lacking the chocolate cake at the top that made me order it in the first place. The presentation however wasn't so satisfying. But we're drinking the milkshake not the presentation......so in terms of taste I'd give it a 4/5 just because I never got my chocolate cake. My friend had their fruit salad which looked really great and attractively assembled (I should have taken a picture of that). The service was however slow despite the diners being very few so that was a downside. However, it was nice to see that they've embraced the whole online menu drift hence reducing contact...
