Caffè Concerto — Restaurant in Nairobi

I was expecting to like this place from personal recommendation and the reviews. However, it was a disappointing experience all round. I carefully explained to the waiter what vegan means, only for him to offer something with halloumi and also a salmon dish. For the insalata, he brought Greek salad with a non-vegan tartar source. In other words, cluelessly stupid waiter. My main dish- fungi porcini in some weird pasta- also tasted bad and perhaps non vegan- it gave me stomach problems.

Perhaps this place is ok if you stick to pizza.

The perfect little gem hidden away on a fairly busy road, ironic? I knooowww! So, I went here for date night, it was my time to pick the tab & I was hoping to impress... And impress I did.

The candle lit dinner, with melodic music and not over bearing chatter from other costumers was great AND so was the food. The mushroom sauce... Perfecto.

Price range between ksh. 850- 2000 for a main meal. Great variety of wines. They have some on offer as well but this changes. I suggest you get a bottle because time will fly without your realization.
