¤ Food ¤ ☆ 1 serving of 1/2 Grilled Chicken (Moonlite Special).

You'll be served chicken with chips (you can request for a bit of spice) and salsa. It goes for 1150 Kenyan Shillings

☆ 1 serving of a goat platter (Not included in the main menu. Ask for the alternative one which has additional food options).

You'll be served rice, goat meat, soup, salad, some chips and a banana on the side. It goes for 1100 Kenyan shillings.

Three things I loved: The ambiance, food portions and service.

A friend and I visited Moonlite Cafe this past Thursday and I must admit it was worth every single penny. The restaurant is located on Banda Street with a huge green signboard outside, which is hard to miss. Upon entering you'll meet a nice airy sitting arrangement with ample space. There's a balcony sitting area as well and additional sitting spaces upstairs.

◇ The food ◇

I loved their food portions and the taste. It was everything I hoped it would be. The chips were well seasoned and so was the chicken. 1/2 a chicken is a lot of chicken, I would recommend having the 1/4 one which goes for 650 if you're not a hearty eater. I honestly found it hard to finish the 1/2 portion. The goat platter was tasty (as my friend described) and super filling. She ate the food till she got tired of eating and had to leave some behind.

The mocktail had a sweet taste to it, more like they used syrup and soda. I don't think I would order it again. The masala tea on the other hand tasted really nice. I would recommend that and the two meals we ordered above. You won't have to worry about the portions regardless of what is ordered as I observed people's orders and the servings were generous.

I loved the interior decoration and the seat colours plus the arrangement. They have a huge flower wall where someone can take photos if they so please. Upstairs I noted there were plants and their toilets were really spacious. There are full length mirrors in the toilet as well as between the lower and upper sitting areas. The place is also not noisy so you can have conversations with friends and loved ones peacefully.

◇ The service ◇

The service was above and beyond. Each time I say I can overlook everything but this. Their service was honestly superb. I appreciated the attention to detail, the explanations, the followup and the patience. Their waiters and waitresses are super polite and quick in service, attending to you till they're done before moving to the next person. They also check in if everything is alright with the food, which I loved. I would give them an A on the service.
