The Other Room — Restaurant in Nairobi

This is that rare instance where I was moved to stop what I was doing to render a review in real time. Still sitting at the table, having just completed my meal, I can't hold back my excitement regarding my experience at Social House-The Other Room. I live in Southern California, the land of salads, but I can safely say I just had the best Chicken Cobb Salad of my lifetime! This fantastic meal was only rivaled by the all-around fantastic service I received upon entry. There were three staffers however who went above and beyond the standards of first rate service. Donella, the manager, led the way as an amazing floor general, checking in and making sure all culinary needs were being met. Elizabeth followed up with a great smile and warm hospitality. And my server Maurine was fantastic in her own right keeping me abreast of all menu options and providing swift delivery of food/beverages with steady follow-up. Nice and cosy restaurant located at the Social House in Lavington, a walking distance from Lavington Mall. You can eat or work from the desks (though you may sit awkwardly due to limited space under the table legs). There's a wide variety of small or large meals available.

Entrance feels strange though as you walk directly into the restaurant and feel awkward. Cause there are many facilities at the Social House (the Other Place is only one of them), maybe it would have been better to have a clearly defined lobby instead.

As you get it, there's a proper sniff dog search, so security seems assured. Valet parking saved me some time to catch up with the live band beside the pool.

This aesthetically configured place is perfect for easy weekend hangout, if you want to have a nice laid back moment. It's a bit classy, and thus you're assured the crowd is perfectly filtered.

I loved the meat platter, I also tried out the Malfy Gin and cocktails.
